Lately, actually, more like today I have this feeling of being down and losing my confidence in design. I'm not expecting people to compliment me and cheer me up just for the sake of it. But this feeling is telling me "Your a shitty designer, you can't do shit". I don't know how to explain it. I'm not seeking sympathy or empathy by anyone. Please try to understand.

And rate me out of 10, i am mentally prepared for whatever you guys rate me. Other than that, I've been designing for 2 and a half years now. I'm heading to uni in a month for Graphic Designing and I will work my ass off to become a world class designer. The course leader was impressed by my portfolio, because he said I have good technical experience already and that I have some freelancing experience, all this before uni.

On a side note, yes I still have loads to learn and improve on.

 

You already have the skill-set to get a career in the graphic & multimedia design world. It's difficult to give you a rating because the design comes in a thousand different variations. You'll learn several Adobe products, animation, photography, and numerous design concepts. I took a few GMMD courses during my first year on campus because I was very interested in learning how to create higher quality graphics. I thought it would improve my ability to develop my software and websites creatively. You are already better than 90% of the students at my university, judging from the work you're displaying. Although, I was extremely disappointed with their abilities and it isn't difficult to be better than the group I worked with for a few months.

You'll be surprised at how much knowledge you already have about graphic design, that you never put into words before college. They will teach you concepts you've already applied over the past few years, but give you a deeper understand on why it's appealing and how it attracts people.

The one thing negative about going to college is that a lot of people won't understand the designs you're making for Runescape forums. You're doing a lot of gfx for prospects in the gaming industry, and they wouldn't necessarily be qualified to advertise outside that area. You'll have to improve the portfolio and expand it to different fields. Try finding work on Craigslist or a freelancing website. Your professors will be much more impressed if they have seen work from areas they're familiar with, and you'll build a more prominent resume.

To give you a rating based on your portfolio, based around Runescape & discussion boards, I'll give you a 9/10. It is great work, and you have a talented eye.

Based on what you said, yes I need to go even more broad. I'm taking a logo course on udemy, still need to finish it, then I will create a few business logos to display. I'm also working on typography too.

Hey, bud. I actually saw your graphics back when you first opened your shop and I can say that you've improved a great amount. I'd say that you have no reason to feel down about your designs at all. It goes without saying that your customers have appreciated your works and will continue to do so.

I'll give you a 9/10. Keep it up.

Couldn't have said it better than Ritysayo. Some of your work is great, some not so much but that is natural when doing anything isn't it? Not everything you do/make can be amazing otherwise you will never improve.

To be honest, you will most likely know more and have a superior ability in GFX than the majority of people on your course.

There is nothing you should be feeling down about. You will come out of your course with even more knowledge than you have now. Always look to improve and you will be fine, everything else will unfold on its own. That is all you can ask for.

Solid 9/10. Not lying or cheering you up. In fact my rates are always low, but you're one tough badass graphics designer. I mean come on, you haven't even went to College yet and you're professional af.

 

For not even going to school for this, you are very good. and will only get better once you do go to school for it 8/10

You're a good designer in a general sense, but I'm not going to rate you.

I believe anyone with a creative output hits roadblocks and self-confidence drops throughout their life/career and I believe it's just natural. Especially considering you're under the pressure of Uni and then some.
I don't think having people rate your stuff will change much though truthfully.

I have been doing graphic design on and off for 5 years, I've hit the same roadblocks. 1-2 years ago my friend in NY started going to school for graphic design (digital arts, i'm not sure on specifics.) But he showed me what he was doing the first semester while telling me what he was learning and how people are because I was curious about the environment.

He told me that if him and I were in the same class together, that I'd be YEARS ahead of anything the teacher was discussing and that the majority of it was breaking down the fundamentals of design. It almost seemed boring to me from the way he was explaining it.

TL;DR: From everything I've been told, you should be just fine if not above and beyond 95% of your classmates that are first going in there. (keep in mind some people have never used Photoshop prior to the class.)
