Sythe LFG

Sythe LFG (Looking for group) i believe should be implemented into Sythe with the creation of new activities, such as Osrs new raids about to be released,and other current and new games, it would help to bring more activity to the site were it be guests, or new members whom are looking to find a group, or to make new friends.

What is LFG: Looking for group is a system that has multiple inputs that will help you find players who are playing the same games and playlists as you by giving you the option to select which game you are playing,the game mode,platform and Character class, below will be a crude example of how it would possibly work.

Platform: PC

Region: ANY

Languages: English

Game: Old School Runescape

Playlist: Raid Boss

Sherpa: Yes

Additional Requirements: Looking for players who have a mic, and who have a combat level of 106 and above, you can send me a friend request with a message, or pm on sythe.

I support the idea but a simple forum thread should suffice.

Zybez has a similar thread where members can find heroes quest partners with over 2108 replies (link)

All of my friends quit playing runescape so a LFG thread to find partners for the upcoming OSRS raids would help alot. It would even increase site traffic since people will create accounts on sythe just to post in that thread.

 

I agree that this would be an awesome idea if we could somehow implement it. Do you know of any forum (preferably a XenForo) that utilizes such a platform to help users meet up based on criteria like this?

Voted neutral, depends on how its implemented. With us making game servers and other stuff for games now this might come in handy.

 

It would either be implemented In forms them self or possibly discord or another source

This sounds like a great idea, except I believe this could be accomplished with a forum section or Discord/Skype.

A few months ago I suggested a way to create a successful Sythe chat service, but it was dismissed because it has been attempted in the past. I don't think the attempt was properly executed, and could have been improved a great deal. No one used Discord, and now everyone is actively using it. Our Skype group chats have 30-50 active community members in each one of them. I think they should re-attempt making a Sythe chat system and include this LFG feature.

With all of these community development teams, it would stay active, especially with all of the events going on throughout the year.

I'm neutral, I was going to vote no/no support but since I'm trying to be open to everything that changes the site, I'ma be neutral.

I'm sorry I don't have any major feedback, I'm just not a fan of groups on this forum, I tried it once and it failed miserably and after being in several groups meant to do specific things on another forum(like these would be) and seeing how terrible they are, I'm just not a fan of the group system anymore.

Groups ? This isn't just about groups it's to help find people to play games with and meet new players

 

Just create a skype group or Discord channel for this, easy. Don't need to implement anything on-site.

 

That is what we thought but having it tied in with forms would help require guests to join
