Thats your job, you are committed to it. And, obviously no pay, if you can leave if you want and get a job. But, the forums won't die.. I know you want leave and don't pay because, you have reputation. If you leave the forums will be sad for a day. And you'll come back thats how it always is.

Heh if you think moderating is such a fun job, why don't you spend a year here, then become a mod, then mod for another year or two, and then tell me how you like it. I've been here for almost 3 years, it's not worth it to leave because that means I wasted 3 years of my life. >.>

 

A lot of major sites do atcually pay thier staff for moderating forums, however sythe doesn't pull all the revenu and pulls all the dumbfucks that need to be banned.

No offense, but there still are scammers everywhere. This site is known for that, but that has nothing at all to do with this thread, so that's all I'll say.

No, four hours, some maybe could pull it off, but that's not what I am asking, I'm saying atleast spending a total of 3-4 hours a week on this site could be considered minumim, but easily do-able.

And Filefragg finally said it, HE SHOULD POST MORE, but there's current things restricting him. Finally, someone actually says, yes I should post more, instead of getting defensive about how they are just so busy all the time. This thread will probably only delay any changes needed even longer as the staff obviously doesn't want to be wrong.

 

Yes but in some cases where the staff should be infracted their not. But other than that the only thing that pissed me off what the multiple accounts deal.

Sooo i was looking through the threads and i saw Josh's thread about "Should non mods be ops"
and i remember seeing the day before the poll was something like 35 Yes, and 10 No. The today when i look at it i see this:



So obviously i think something is up. So i logged onto MSN and talked to Annex, i get this in the convo:



I know for a fact that it takes a couple of second to look at the logs, and because i didnt get answers i asked Clashfan, this was our convo. (Ill blank out his Email because it is private).













So........ Id like answeres please, i thought id stop getting carried away with things like this after i got blocked by Clash the last time but it looks like i have to on behalf of the community.

Looks like someone is against non-mods having ops. Im sure Curt would like to see this also. And if it was Atomic, Why would you do it? Or did someone ask you to?

These all want answering, they probably wont be though.

I'm pretty sure Annex made an honest mistake about that poll being edited.

 

I didnt say it wasnt a legit answer, im just saying it didnt seem right and it also fitted into my beliefs.

 

WowSucks. If it was edited then That would shock me, because I talk with another 2 admins (figure it out). And ask if it was noobs who runsacked our poll they said yeah don't worry about it.

However there was like 32 yes and 8 voted no legity. I personally know who it was, I did ask atomic to move some votes, (LIVE...Something) and other user who miss voted. Shin always was nice enough to move his vote.

The staff member came forward, and the situation is being delt with behind the scenes.

 

To be honest, if they get punished for something as pointless and insignificant as that, I feel for them.
