University Task

So I'm going to Uni this September for Graphic Design.

The course leader asked me to come up with a concept to show how I feel, so I came up with this:

He said make sure delivering a message is priority, so I did what I can to do so. If you notice any major errors, please let me know. This is due to submit during the first week of uni.

Looks crazy! (in a good way)
I would recommend cleaning up the render near the top of the head >
The render still has some white background and would look better without it.

 

Looks good. I like the 'message'.

I would definitely suggest bringing the mouth back in the happier side of the face, though. The mouth missing from both just makes it look like you generally don't have teeth or a mouth for that matter in real life lol. Cool, though.

I really feel the overlay on the face on the left is overdone, less is more so to speak. The line on his chin looks like layers overlapping so it feels like a mistake.

 

I don't like how the background is of such low quality. Can you explain what you're trying to bring out with this piece of artwork?

 

I blurred the backgrounds on purpose...

I did, I know that you're trying to bring out what you're feeling atm but what is that exactly? Looks like a contrast of opposites.

What I'm trying to show is, a mixture of happiness and fear.

 

Oh! Thought it was something along the lines of you wearing this persona to mask your true feelings. That you put on this front but really inside, you feel despair and empty. That's what I interpreted from it with the bridge. Good job on the right side of his face, gives a hint of anxiety.

 

You might want to clean up the outline a little bit more. Other than that, it looks good so far.

 

I like the very first version, not sure why you made him look like a grandpa by removing his upper set of teeth though

 

Second one is the best imo looks pretty good.
