Proper English & Grammar

Most people do NOT use proper english OR grammar.
Yes, i know that CAPITALIZING is NOT a big deal, because it is inconvenient to do sometimes.

But really,
most EVERY topic on this forum has FATAL spelling and grammar errors.

Do you use English well? as it is meant to?

I know only a few people on this forum that i can trust to use English properly.
everyone else, no. i cannot.

So, post here, do you think that the English language on sythe is beaten and abused?

Yes, there are simple spelling errors that are forgivable,... but most errors on this forum aren't simple. they are DIE-HARD mistakes.


I mean seriously, people should AT LEAST do their best to make sure the title of the thread is proper.
If I see a thread titled very poorly, it deters me from wanting to visit it.


and on any replies, i expect to see IMPECCABLE English.

The reason for this bad grammar is that people think just because they're on the interweb they can spell how ever the fuck they want.

 

and quite often they try to sound intelligent by using "big words"
which fails.... a lot

Which is why they get labeled as idiots, and then they whine about it.

 

I try to use proper english but if i get in a hurry or something then i just type the easy way..

 

I'll let you do it yourself, but there's plenty of mistakes in your post.

 

The grammar here does suck for the most part, although I do try to keep mine clean.

You forgot to capitalize the first letter of every sentence.

 

Yeah, the spelling and grammar here can be pretty annoying. People need to learn how to type. It would probably take me more time to type "u r dum lol" than "you're a fucking idiot", just because it's what I'm used to.

yeah. like i said, that's no big deal. i, myself sorely despise capitalizing every new sentence... i DO capitalize important nouns and such, but the beginning of sentences.... forget it. it's not worth it.

Actually the lack of capitalization is one of the things that burns my eyes the most.
Next to the actual spelling that is.

 

I agree with all of you. The spelling is horrible at most times and the lack of capitalization can irritate me..but sometimes i don't use caps either. But i did go to the spelling bee so i at least keep that clean lol.

 

Bad Grammar=Low IQ
Most people here write with bad Grammar because either they don't care,or because they type fast
i used to type bad and incorrect Grammar but i got Better and also i type fast

 

I totally agree to this. I try to use proper grammar, but it pisses me off how other people can't seem to agree with me. I would like to call them Immature and Ignorant noobs.
