Pick a bone with the staff

If the staff here is so corrupt, call someone who you deem to be corrupt out about it, and they will have their fair chance to rebutt what you comment about them. There will be no outright flaming in here and you comment must be about something they actually did. Staff includes all sectional mods, global mods and Admins.

 

I think the whole "staff is corrupt" idea is really stupid, i mean you guys do a good job, there may be problems with certain staff members, but in a whole, thumbs up.

I don't think any of you are "corrupt", but I didn't like what you did in the "98% of teens like rap" thread annex.

 

As far as I am concerned, the staff are doing an excellent job of keeping the place in order. Either I am completely misinformed or completely dense, because in my opinion everything seems orderly and neat.

I like this forum, and so far it hasn't disappointed me in any way. I have been able to do multiple successful trades, build a rep, and have a good time. This is all thanks to the staff for their efforts and patience in building a good forum.

The only beef I have is when I try to contact anything lower than an admin about a problem. Most mods on the site especially globals, are extremely rude via aim or msn if you are someone they do not know. Of the problems I've had in the past it seems like Thorpe and Annex are the only two out of all the staff I've contacted that seem to care.

I had to do what I had to do, people were just mindlessly putting down rap music with little to no explanation of why, you don't hear people doing that with rock, if so it will now be removed, same thing for any genre of music, putting them down for their differences is plain wrong. Some people made moderatly fine posts on that thread so i left them there, all the kiddie arguing about the genres was removed.

 

It's not necessarily rude.

People have to come to understand that the staff have lives too. We can't spend every second modding Sythe.org.

People often contact me on MSN while I'm doing homework, studying, etc. I refuse to do any modding duties while doing schoolwork (which I think is fair enough).

 

Exactly. You can't "mod" 24/7.

 

I agree with x9 also, just because someone has a task here (MOD, MM, Admin), doesnt mean its their real life job and they have to spend every minute of the day doing it. To the main topic, I think one staff member is pretty harsh and is mean to alot of people here, I wont say who just because I dont want to get on their bad side and them hating me forever. I didnt say I dont like him, but I just think you take things here too far. But everyone else here is pretty darn cool, or atleast all the staff in the IRC and who chat with me on MSN is...

 

I think some people really have to think "What if I where in <Insert Staff Name>'s shoes". They don't understand that moderating a large forum such as Sythe.org, and maintaining a record of unbiased, ethical and positive decisions is not an easy thing. People make mistakes, they are only human, get over it.

 

I just think Steph plain hates me for no reason, lol.


But whoever replied to my "My Girl" thread, I found humor in it, even though it was my friend who created the thread. That's ok. lol.

 

I don't think any Mods here are actually corrupt but I'm sure we can find a few examples where they act unprofessionaly. Heres Atomics reply I saw a while ago that I thought was intresting.

People who think sythe is corrupt is usually because they are scammers and want to try and put the blame on someone else. If you haven't notice about 80% of the people who flame staff members about being corrupt get banned within a month or so, or have already been banned.

Also people who think that staff aren't doing their job should just gtfo. I mean you need to see this isnt their obligated job, it is apointed to them and it isnt manditory for them to do what ever you ask.

I would like to see how some of the members who think they can do better run a forum of this size. Then see what they have to say.

 

Messing around occasionally should be a privilege to the staff, they work a lot just to keep Sythe like is, let them have some fun.

This is a nice thread, ill be sure to share my point of view when i want to.

 

I sometimes don't like it when a mod's friend or something gets treated on a higher plane then a regular member. Or when a mod downright flames another member and people think that the mod would be 'always right'
But i havn't been active here for a while so idk.
