Curious as to whether participants minirank are broken

I've only posted once in Personal Support after a long time and have already been assigned the Panda participant minirank. Is that actually meant to happen?

I also thought the miniranks have been staying on for a long time, longer then a week.

(my Cryptocurrency participant minirank has gone now, I assumed it wasn't going, I haven't commented on Cryptocurrency in some time.)

I also made a bugtracker report on the fact that participant miniranks aren't automatically applied.

Just curious if anyone knows whether since the Xen move, participant miniranks have changed or something?

I'll have to fix this. Looks like the MiniRanks tab is just showing the ones you
have set to visible and you're correct, it should be showing all of your
MiniRanks even if they're hidden from postbit.

This is fixed. All MiniRanks show on your profile page now. As for participant
ones not showing up, that's a separate issue I'll have to look into.

Thanks for that, although I still think there is something irregular about miniranks atm.

 

Automated miniranks = Matthew's work, I don't think he made any changes but again I don't know for sure

That makes a lot more sense to me; guess I'm just being paranoid, I know I would prefer if they were automatically visible, so I don't have to go through the little effort of checking up my miniranks manager. (Either way I like to organise mine, so it wont matter). Definitely not high on the list, don't put yourself out.
