    Is god imaginary?

Just because you think the world somehow had to be created doesn't mean that it wasn't the natural laws of science. This is the "God of the Gaps" explanation set in motion very well.

    Is god imaginary?

What sort of "Natural Laws of Science?" Huh?

I once heard that God is superior to science, therefore, science, cannot prove him. :O :p

    Okay, man, DPUNK.

Dude, if God is real and he can do anything, AND Christianity is supposed to be built up of FAITH, not proof, WHY, tell me WHY would God make proof? Why would he leave proof there was water on the tallest and highest mountains?

    Faith! Not proof.

You people are like the degenerates of your false past!

    Is god imaginary?

I was referring to the fact that the universe could have began without intervention of a God. What idiot told you God is superior to science? That sounds all too convenient if you ask me. Haven't you ever thought that all these stupid rationalizations that people keep feeding your mind with could possible be false? Do you ever think for yourself? You know there is something wrong with the concept you are trying to defend when you constantly have to come up with silly rationalizations such as "It's higher than science" to defend it.

A condemning quote on faith, from a former evangelist no less:

True, but people be mentally sound enough to turn to themselves to deal with their problems, and not pawn them off to some imaginary being.

So then, how did the world start? What the hell happened?

Did everything just appear out of thin air?

    Is god imaginary?

The truth is that we don't know yet, but the point that I'm trying to make is not to employ the "God of the gaps" explanation because of it. Just because we don't know doesn't mean that it had to be the doing of a supernatural being. I can identify with a variation of the Big Bang/Crunch Theory myself.

"In the beginning God created heaven and earth."

You are correct, and in fact, flood myths have occurred in religious documents older than the Bible.

More like, "In the beginning man created God."

In my opinion, religion is nothing more than mankind's misplaced need for the comfort of something watching over you.

Power to believe? What kind of shit is that? I can't believe in God because I know he isn't real. The same thing applies to Santa Claus. Even if you tried as hard as you possibly could, could you make yourself truly believe in Santa Claus? Don't think so.

    Is god imaginary?

Nah. Even if all that bullshit is true, who's fault is it that I don't believe? God was the one who created my mind, and decided how much evidence I would need to believe in his existence. Then he didn't provide it for me. The end. God's fault.
