WinAntiSpyware 2007 - How do I get rid of it?

Well, I went out to walk my dog, leaving the computer on. I get back, and a program called "WinAntiSpyware 2007" is being unpacked, and downloaded, with no way to cancel it. It then starts scanning my computer, and says it has found a couple thousand spy ware items. I google it, and find out that it's a rogue anti spyware program, that makes up these spyware things, and makes pop ups come. I have absolutely no way to get rid of it, and its making my computer run slower, and several pop ups keep coming.

How do I completely delete it?

 

windows defender
add or remove programs in safe mode
if it has back up logs then windows defender will eventually delete them all

 

Ugh so lucky my computer is infected with adware and some spyware you know like cookies and i really want to get rid of them but my parents won't buy any software i really wanna get rid of it fast. could somone answer in my thread and help me solve it please. this thing is driving me nutts

 

It's pretty hard to get rid of stuff like that. The number one reason people get it is: Internet Explorer.

 

Safe mode, then add or remove items. Or system restore.

Thats why its so weird...The only programs I had up was Sythe, with firefox not IE, and msn...I tried a system restore, and it said that your computer could not be restored to this date...Then I tried it again, still nothing. Any ideas on that?

 

get moveonbot? whenever i mess up my pc i just use goback by norton

 

Would it be so much of a hassle to do a clean install of the drive?

 

i got it today too! it was downloading so i'm like its a virus from windows? but then when it download i had ALOT more spyware come up, i ended up reformatting my computer because of it.

I tryed deleting it in safe mode, nothing...I also tried a system restore, and it said "Your computer couldnt be restored to this date"

Were just gonna bring it in to best buy =)

 

I hate things like this.. I got annoyed with something similar to this before.. But I used windows destroyer and it went.

HEY I GOT THE WINDOWS XP CD

 

control panel > ad remove programs > remove your unwanted programs comepletly..

 

I guess you guys will have to use the hidden partition to delete completely

 

Well said Xja, all my friends say they have been given viruses from trustworthy sites, i know for a fact every one of them watches on dodgy Porn sites...

And i got viruses too, i can just admit it's porn.
