Have any of you been able to hold down a gym?

For a long period of time? I find it too difficult.

 

Longest I've lasted is 12 hours.

 

Longest I have lasted was like 24 hours, dunno why because they took over the gym with very similar pokemons earlier.

 

I feel like its pretty easy for others to take you down in a gym battle with this kind of swiping/tapping battle system, since you're not really there to control it :\ , longest i've held was like 3-4 hours lol

 

Unless you have friends/teammates that can instantly fortify it with 5 1000cp+ pokemon I find it almost impossible to hold down a gym for a prolonged period of time. Support will come too late and the 6v1 battle mechanics greatly favor the attacker.

 

I;ve had some last 2-3 days with 1k+ cp pokemon but yu would need a minimum of 6-7 people otherwise you get demolished.

 

Yup, I feel like if you don't have a group of people like this you'll just never stand to hold one on your own.

 

I've organised a FB group with roughly 20 people all living in neighbouring suburbs and thats our plan to tackle gyms together and go from 0 to L8.

 

Had the one near my house with 10 pokemon for a week, then some mystic flogs came and took it, leaving their 2500 Dragonite and 2000 Exegcutor there -_-
