    Computer Restart! >:(

my computer keeps restarting randomly, people sometimes tell me it gets over heated and to clean out the back, ive done this but the problem still exists.

Can someone tell me how to fix this or any advice on how to get around it or something?

    Thx

Are you sure it's entirely random? What are you doing most times that it restarts?

    Ok do this first.

Get a fan,Open up the side of your comp and run the fan.If it doesnt reboot you've solved your problem.Reason, overheating

If not,Go safe mode and run it a bit.If it doesnt,Reason virus

Otherwise its your hardware problem.I installed a new graphic card once and my comp kept rebooting.Video card wasnt compatable with my cpu =/

A virus would probably not cause restarts, its most likely a driver going askew or overheating, when your computer restarts does it display a blue screen of death? if so what does it say? most notabaly an error mesasge that is in all caps saying somthing like "THREAD_STUCK_IN_DRIVER" or something along that lines, try taking off the side of your case and see if that helps a bit make sure its raised off the gound and not near a carpet, its a very outside possibility that your powersupply is on the fritz too

This is not a heat problem...
This is a Hardware or Driver problem (RAM, VGA or whatever)

This is what you could do so solve the restart.

    1. Go to start
    2. Click on Control Panel

    3. Something like this will show up... Click on the Red Circle (Switch to classic View)

    4. Then you will see something like this... Click on the Circle (System)

    5. Something like this will showup... Click on adwanced (1 )
    6. Then on settings (2)
    7. Then unmark Automatically restart (3)

Now it wont restart your PC anymore Have Fun :D
