    BamZam banned for 'hacked'

Hi, just came on Sythe today to see that I was banned for being 'hacked' with the link 'http://www.sythe.org/threads/a.2134448/' attached.

I was actually hijacked on the 6th of July for downloading a phishing link. I had my ALL my information stored in my computer compromised. Runescape. PayPal. You name it. I had my Runescape account wiped out and my debit card used to buy Runescape gold by the lad who stole my details.

I proceeded on to wipe out my entire system and re-downloaded Windows. Subsequently, I proceeded to change all of my details including Skype, PayPal, Runescape, Sythe etc. on the 7th of July on a different computer.

I apologise that I did not give a heads-up on Sythe about my situation then and only mentioned it in the Sythe Runescape Chat based in Skype. Now, I would really appreciate it if I can be reinstated into the forums. Thank you :)

Can you post a screenshot of a completed virus scan please? Also do you have any details on the phishing link you believe infected you?

The phishing link came from some of the streams (Runescape) on Twitch. These streams had posts regarding 'Double XP' or 'Giveaways' and had a link to TeamSpeak, where you apparently had to join a teamspeak channel to join the giveaway.

When you attempt to join into the particular teamspeak channel, it will say that your TeamSpeak is outdated and would require an update. However, that is not the case. It is actually a keylogger disguised as an update (It really looked like the real deal and I found out from my brother later on that hackers can actually disguise malicious software into seemingly unsuspecting updates) which would fool you into downloading it. Being the gullible me at the time, I had no idea why I was foolish enough to disable my Avast! firewalls and let the 'update' come in. It seems that right now, these streams have been already taken down.

My virus scans results are pretty much clear besides the '[email protected]' which must have came from my torrented Windows 10.

Please post a new e-mail address for us to attach to your account. Do not reuse passwords and I would recommend you to enable 2 factor authentication on your e-mail too.
