This whole situation is ridiculous. Every action taken has been the pinnacle of stupidity.

I bet you the only reason he has admitted to this is because he found out others knew all about this (Yes I KNOW other people knew) and he was worried about being banned.

    Confession

An IP address is, obviously, the most potentially insecure thing ti give to someone else. It's like giving out the address to my house, so someone could come look at my e-mail, or blow up my mailbox >_>

Even if you think that some mods broke the rules without consequence, that's only because you weren't talking to the right people. Talking to me once could have solved those 'problems' you saw in other mods, because I could have either told them to knock it off, or found the right person to do so if they wouldn't listen to me.

If you think that giving the IP addresses of users on this forum is going to stop someone from breaking the rules, your wrong. Even if this guy could actually do something in the 'hacking' area, he probably wouldn't let them know that there's a connection between them being 'hacked' and them breaking rules on sythe.org.

You should have thought it through more, but there's still no excuse for his part in this, and you both should be banned.

I don't see much harm done in this to be honest. He should not have done it, but he told the truth and confessed. It takes alot of guts to come forth and tell the truth. I honestly trust him more now, considering something this small could bug him inside how could he do something that was really wrong.

A regular user doesn't deserve a second chance, nor should the head user educator.

Not only have you proved you don't deserve that rank, you have proved that you are unsuitable as a member on this forum.

You have given out private information, and should be punished.

You were a good member to this forum, now you're just as bad as all the other people who get\deserve to get banned.

Why should someone who jeopardized people in real life, not get banned. But when somebody steals someones pixels do?

The only reason you made this post, was that you knew you would be found to have done it. you were not looking out for WoW you were covering your own back.

    Confession

If a mod scams 1000B, then comes and confesses it, should we unban him?

I honestly think there should be some punishment to this, maybe not as severe as a ban, but something should be done.

Thats a different situation, scam 1000B> giving out IP.
Giving out someones IP is not nearly as bad as scamming 1000B
Thats like saying killing someone is the same as running a red light.

WEll heres the thing.. he knew what he did was wrong... how many people would actually step up and admit it.... i do believe that it was wrong of course and maybe just give him a " trade with caution " thing... for a little while just to remind him and the other users of sythe of what he did but banning him dosent really solve anything.. in my opinion.

    Confession

Bet Wow Ownz can't do shit with an IP anyways.

You could tell when he got it he's like "what should i do?"

EDIT: 1337, i got banned for my email not being confirmed and then when i couldn't confirm it because the email i used to register was discontinued i was not allowed back on my account and it was destroyed, something stupid like that happens and I get banned yet this HEAD GURU gives out the IPs n personal info of people AND uses the mod cp secretly, why shouldn't he be banned for a GOOD reason?

Don't talk about Six if you don't know what you're talking about.
