Truck Crashes into Bastille Day Crowd in Nice, France

Truck crashed into a crowd of people enjoying fireworks in Nice, France. Officials say it was intentional because the offender was accelerating while mowing people down. The death count at the moment is around 60. I'm not sure if the suspect is known, however.

Terrible, it makes me so sad to turn on the news or go on a social media and read terrible things such as this. Although France is the one that was attacked today, there is so many smaller countries not covered by the news of attacks from this group. Something needs to happen but its such a complex problem and so hard to find an answer for I just pray there will be one. #prayfornice

This is just crazy, never expected anything like this to happen.

I know that gun enthusiasts are probably going to be all over this though. I can already hear them sarcastically saying that we should ban trucks.

 

Horrifying. Death count keeps increasing every hour with over 50 people in critical condition. The fucker also attacked children, absolutely disgusting.

 

I had already been sarcastically saying we should ban cars. Hopefully this attack makes us stop concentrating on useless feel good measures and actually do something about the causes of extremism instead.

 

So sad knowing that in this certain circumstance, literally nothing can be done to avoid something like this in the future, other than not going outside, which is pretty sad when you think about it.
