    What would you do?

So i put my motorcycle in a friends shed over the winter and early spring there was a nice weekend and i asked if he was free so i could come down load my bike into his truck since the tires were bald. He said he was, so that saturday i called and he said that he had plans to come up my way so he would just load it and drop it off at my place. He gets here and tells em that the ramp he was using broke and my bike fell and hit the tailgate breaking parts on my bike. i was super upset but i knew it wasn't his fault. I get the broken ramp from him and try to contact the company through their website saying that their ramp that is rated for 500 pounds broke while i was loading my bike that weighs between 460-490 pounds. send another email 10 days later... I wait a month and get no response. so i call them and tell them that i sent them a couple emails and hadn't heard back. talked to a guy and he said he would look into it and figure out what to do. a week goes buy and hear nothing. called again and was transferred to the guy i originally talked to and he didn't answer so i left a voice mail. called 2 days later, same thing. called 4 days later and they transfer me to some other guy in charge of a different product line, i left no voicemail with him due to the fact that i have no idea why the transferred me to him. I then tried calling back 16 times with no one picking. Blocked my caller ID number and the receptionist picks up instantly. she then explains why she transferred me to the other guy and i left a voicemail with him. 6 days latter brings us to today. Still haven't hear anything back from them.

What would you do right now? Call back?

sorry for the wall of text. just had to explain the whole situation.

It seems like the company will be hard to get the cash off. you should probably not lose sleep over it. these things happen, gradually fix it, etc and have fun with it. All i can say really

Call again and threaten to file a dispute with the better business bureau, that'll usually get a reasonably timely response.

Wow, I'm super sorry man that's horrible. I'm sure your buddy feels absolutely terrible!

Honestly it sounds like you're pretty much shit out of luck trying to get any kind of reimbursement for parts from the ramp company. The first thing I would do is to check out their website...the manufacturer of the ramp's website. I'm not sure if the place you called is actually the manufacturer or just a distributor. I'm assuming it is the manufacturer though! Anyway I would check out the website and see if they have any form of warranty on that product because there's two things wrong with that situation...their fucking ramp most likely folded in half while being under the maximum load rating. That's justification for a refund on the shit ramp they sold you...and you're bike got destroyed in the process.

I mean depending on how bad the damage is to your bike it could be worth pursuing in a legal matter? I mean if its a sport bike with plastic fairings and such it probably isn't.

Obviously they have no intentions of resolving this hence why their screening your calls, so I'd also incorporate emails...emails can be printed out and used as proof if you may need it. Stay on their ass because thats bullshit man. Good luck

thats a good idea but it will never work, he has no evidence it broke that way, and for all he knows in the loyalty of his friend, his friend could have tried to drive a monster truck up it

the damage in parts was just over $400 and that is after spending a couple hours looking for deals and such. Luckily i had the know how to fix it otherwise i would be out another 2-4 hundred dollars. i have though about starting a case with the BBB but i can't find their company on the BBB website.

    Or friends.

OT: All those damages combined are the equivalent of a fender bender on most new cars, so be grateful you're into bikes and not cars lol.

File a complaint with your state's office (I believe it's under the attorney general) that deals with consumer products. They take it seriously and it'll help get it resolved.

My bad for bumping ab old thread and not giving an update.

MSRHP provided reimbursement for parts and a replacement ramp. Months later but they at least made it right. Still won't ever buy their products again.
