The Story with Atomic

This started a bit ago, when Fagex admins contacted us about Atomic. They remembered banning a Fagex user named Atomic for trying to sell a duping glitch. They only realized there was a connection between the Fagex Atomic and the Sythe Atomic after Atomic had changed his name from The Lobster (they obviously didn't recognize him as The Lobster).

They sent us screens and IPs and such, and everything matched, and showed that Atomic had tried selling such a duper. We temporarily banned him for safety precautions. From there we proceeded to discuss what the heck was going on. We first needed to verify that the glitch existed - Atomic told us that the glitch he was trying to sell was based of pyro 214's, and said that Ughster probably knew about too, which he did. So, it did exist.

However, from there, things got complicated. Since it was a very secretive glitch that only some people knew about, the date the glitch was fixed was VERY hard to verify. One mod thought it was fixed in October, another told us November - you get the point - no one knew exactly when it was fixed. We had to know the date, however, because Atomic had posted the glitch thread in December - if the glitch was fixed before that, it would seem that he was lying.

One of the mods was almost positive it was fixed in late November, however. So as of a couple days ago, we were pretty sure that Atomic's selling thread was an attempt at scamming. However, we obviously did not want to believe it, and we didn't. We continued talking with Atomic, who told us that for the glitch to work, you needed two people, and he (or his partner, don't remember who, sorry) wasn't able to get online for 9 days (he went on a trip/vacation/something). This empty timespan would make up for the fact that he didn't know the glitch was fixed (glitch fixed in end of November, he comes home 9 days later and thinks glitch still works, etc).

When Atomic posted his goodbye thread, we took a final poll to see what all the globals and admins thought. Everyone who responded believed that Atomic was innocent. So, today, we are unbanning Atomic and giving him back his global modship.
