New to the Gym

    New to the Gym

    I have just joined my local Gym today.
    Looking for some tips to gain muscle, my main goal is to get lean for the summer. 6 pack, nice chest and arms. I am very dedicated and will try and go almost everyday.

    I take Arginine tablets before the gym, also brought a big tub of Whey Protein Gold to take pre workout or after. I am honestly just not too sure what to do when im at the gym to get these results i want. Im not sure what to do when i walk through the door. Do i dedicate Monday to chest for example and Tuesday to Arms or what?

    Weight: 10 Stone 12 Pounds
    Height: 6ft
    Not sure on my BF% But i am quite skinny.


    If anyone has any nooby tips or what not please let me know!

    152 pounds? Achieving a 6 pack in a month and a half (summer) is probably very unlikely, but if you go everyday you'll be one step closer. As for gaining muscle its healthy eating more calories, and then pumping out the weights, the problem with your two goals, is one is made from eating less. and one is made from eating more, you'd have to start bulking before you try and get a 6 pack if you want a bigger chest/arms

    Ok, Well i would bulk first but i just dont really understand how i "bulk" do you mean like just eating more food overall like McDonalds? and all that crap or do i have to stick to a strict diet but just eat allot of calories and protein?

    i mean the only people that can pull off dirty bulks are the people who are juicing.
    You eat alot of chicken/steak/home made hamburgers, the good stuff, veggies/rice/potatoes but you'll have to find what your resting caloric intake is, and how much you need to eat to gain weight. Id say anywhere from 2.5k-3k calories a day probably at your weight. and yes. you will put on weight(fat) so dont be discouraged.

    your best friends during this will be mexican style fast foods, burrito bowls are key. If you have a chipotle or something like chipotle where you are from thats the place to get a semi clean bulk. I would overall stay away from breads though.
