    Maby they can make some sort of energy shield or something to protect us so we don't get crushed... It will work something like a space suit.

    It is reachable if you have a mass of zero. If you have any mass, any at all, you can only get infinitely close to it.

    but yeah, this is not hard evidence of this... we haven't been able to test it

    We don't really need to test it, as we have proven that as an object increases in velocity, it increases in mass. Reaching the speed of light would bring its mass to infinity, which would require infinite energy to achieve. Since there is not infinite energy in the universe, it is impossible.

    Also has been tested. They were able to get to 99% of the speed of light but they didnt get to 100% even if they use more power.
