Anyone know a lot about skateboards in general? I'm trying to choose a deck and wondering if Almost is a decent one to get me started on. I already have my Royals (trucks), Powell Reds (bearings), and Spitfire (wheels). Is that a good setup?

i suggest getting a blank deck, theyre good for practicing on and when u get good theyre cheap so when u break em u can get a new one easy, seeing as theyre only like $28

Yeah I got my new blank deck off CCS about a month ago. There is no point getting a graphic deck that 2x as much money when it will just get scratched off. As for the other accessories, looks good. I always have gone with Spitfire wheels, for trucks, never have Royals before, I have bought Venture and when I first started I got Independent. And for berings, those are pretty good, theres not really good or bad ones, there kinda the same in my opinion. The bearings I have always used was speed demons.

Get a blankie, then get a Dukes if your still not too good.
Dukes are real-nice for cheap skateboards, and are cheap.

When you get good, get an Element deck.

    here's my suggestion-

you're new to skateboRDING, SO CHANCES ARE YOU'RE NOT GONNA DO ANY CRAXY SH!T THAT could break your board, so go ahead and get a graphic deck. the cheapest, good quality, good looking graphic decks i found were 30$, they were speed deomons.

www.elskateshop.com --- this is where i ordered ALL of myy board. they're cheap, and they've got a bunch of bonuses.

BUT- if you're gonna order from there, use THIS LINK http://www.elskateshop.com/index.php?ref=142&affiliate_banner_id=3
that way i get some cash :)

but yeah. these guys sell their stuff cheap, the board i got there is GREAT. and anything over 75$ in the US is free shipping :)

i'm not trying to advertise, just trying to give you a good deal

P.S. you get free stickers and a t-shirt for ordering
P.S.P.S. if you leave a note in the note box with "could i please have a few extra stickers", i'm sure they'll give you some more :p

Don't buy any Element gear, it fucking sucks. Go for a Zero deck if your good, or a $50 blank one if learning. The cheap arse kmart ones can be so shit they teach you to have a bad style, and they break like toothpicks.

To start out with buy blanks from local stores or online to help support them. Later on you may want to buy namebrands since they can be lighter/better pop/ hold pop better/ dont break as often

I would recomend "Jackal, abec 7" bearings or "Bone Swiss Competition: bearings.....
For a deck i would probably go for a "Kryptonics" Signature series deck, they look nice, are very strong, and dont cost too much.....
For Trucks "Royal" trucks go alrite so stick with them.....
For Wheels just get some poured urethane street wheels.... 54mm would be best..... Brand doesnt realy matter with these....

ok so heres the thing. i actually skate and half of them are googling this just for the post count. ur setup is fine. you could get a blank if you are a slow learner but blanks break super easy b/c the companies that make em suck more ass than element and bam put together. so id say. skate what you got obviously. and a really easy trick for you to learn right now is the boneless/ boneless 180 b/c it involves alot of stuff that feels absolutely backward once you learn flip tricks. i have landed a boneless 720 and my friend who can do double kicks has trouble doing a boneless 180 where i have no issues doing flip tricks even though i learned them a year after all my friends. id say that for a new skater boneless' are the way to go. anyways. good luck and msg me if this helped or you need more help. im always willing to help a skater.

Alright. I'v been skating for 5 years and im sponsored. If you haev skated before, meaning you can do SOME tricks like an ollie or a pop shove it then just get yourself a Mystery or a Zero deck. I, personaly order off of www.evileds.com because they order from the wearhouse, meaning half price. now if you dont know how to skate at all, just go get a cheap blank deck, i think evil has em for like 15-20 bucks. If you ever need anything about skating, pm me.

Dont worry about what Kind of setup you have. All wood is the same, no matter what they tell you. They will all last the same ammount of time. Bearings, same way. Wheels are a little different though. Some are slicker than others (for park skating). But other than that, don't go overboard and end up spending 300$ for a setup when you can get the same use out of one for ~110$.

Nick V - Evil Eds orders from eastern and get the defected board, trucks ect. Yes I know this for a fact.
