    WWII - why Germany lost

As you probably should know, Germany lost WWII to the Allies.

There are many reasons why, but please post AND DISCUSS your personal top three reasons as to why.

    Mine would be:

1). Operation Barbarossa (Hitler's invasion of the U.S.S.R.)

2). Hitler's failure to defeat England in 1940.

3). Their failure to take full advantage of Germany's technological superiority.

    Yes, I love history. :)

    Discuss, etc.

    You're a little off...

1). Hitler was not actually crazy.
2). Germany wasn't landlocked, not by a long shot.
3). The U.S. didn't bomb Pearl Harbor, it was the Japanese.

Hitler killed himself because he knew that defeat was inevitable. Why? Germany was being attacked from every side: The D-Day invasion from the north, Allied troops moving through Italy from the south, and the USSR coming from the east.

I'd say that turning against the USSR (Operation Barbossa) and the miracle of Dunkirk ensured an Allied victory.

Germany had full control of France, free access to Italy and Spain, and also controlled the Balkans. In short, it was in control of most of Europe.

He wasn't necessarily crazy. He had a belief that he felt (or found it convenient to put on a show that he felt) was really true and sincere.

Well, it's clearly not a rational act, but it doesn't necessarily mean that Hitler was a "crazy man". I have asked many people's opinion on this, and most said that Hitler was "sick", "sick in the head", a "psycho", etc. He was actually a rational person until the later days of the war, when the pressure got to his head.

    Thank you, good sir. :D

The medical term you are most likely looking for is a Sociopath.

He set his mind where most sociopaths don't and it caused mass destruction throughout Europe. He eventually felt trapped, and knew that the only way out was to kill himself, so he ended his own life.

Hitler had an above average inelegance, an IQ probably around 135, and had a charismatic personality.

    WWII - why Germany lost

ok i will tell u why germany lost the war

    1) he probably has some disease that screwed his brain
    2) if he would have attacked britain first than go for russia later..
    3) the biggest mistake he made was moving his tanks and troops near britain and walkin all the way to russia is a very dumb move because Russia is like on the other side plus Russia is huge country with millions of people at that point

if he would have attacked britain, canada, America the war would have been over for us.

luckly he made that mistake lol!

BTw this thread suite my avatar i had to say that lol!

Then you would be a sadistic psychopath or sociopath.

You are not mentally ill because you do not lack the ability to make conscious decisions, you do however not get the same signal that goes off in your brain when you do something wrong that a normal person would.

If Germany had defeated England and the U.S.S.R., they would most certainly have been able to defeat the United States.

They were the only country in the world with jet engines for their planes, and were almost capable of launching trans-Atlantic bombing runs.

Also, their troops had superior training, weaponry, and experience. We would have lost.

When the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, thus beginning the war in the Pacific, they were enjoying victory after victory until the battle of Midway. So, it wasn't "ownage time" for us. :p
