Lifetime Membership

I remember Jagex promised free lifetime memberships for those that told them about the duplicate partyhat glitch. Most people were banned, but apparently a select few actually did get lifetime free memberships.

Does anyone know if this is true? If so, how much do you think the account would be worth?

 

I imagine not a whole lot, people buy accounts based on stats rather than membership status. I also imagine these accounts may be somewhat looked at by Jagex (if they exist) in case they did decide to sell the accounts.

 

if gold is bought for 1.30/m then you spend $7.28 a month on membership (average) so you save only $86 for a year..many quit in 2-3 years so I would say $50 at high price..

 

$7.28 a month is a lot more than I pay . My average price per month for the past year has been roughly $4.45.

 

Never heard of an account like this, but I doubt it would be worth much anyway with bonds in the game etc

I personally know 1 person who got lifetime membership, he is inactive though (under 2K total level). His membership was manually set to expire on 12,12,2121 by Jagex as a reward.

A lifetime membership still seems pretty amazing to me. It's all packaged in one account never having to waste money on membership status in either OSRS or Rs3

 

I agree, in theory it seems pretty cool. I defs wouldnt turn up an account which had lifetime membership, however its no selling point for me either since membership is cheap as chips these days

 

Honestly I would buy a lifetime membership account just to say I own it lmfao. I like collecting unique accounts. It'd be kinda the same as owning a 9hp account lol. No point. Just a collector thing.

 

I must be the only who would adore a lifetime membership account, I mean really? 2121.. I am not even going to live that long. Just sell it on, etc. But I guess it looks like a lot of people aren't interested so I doubt it would go for a lot. To the right buyer, the collectors will love it.

 

There are people that have won lifetime membership from competitions but I have no idea if telling some major glitches to jagex would do the same. I kinda doubt that as usually bug abusers get kinda hard punishment and its perm ban.

 

Not all, some were offerd Pmod to give lists of Bugs/Glitches that were widely abused

 

A cool concept, i would definatly consider buying... Bonds are very cheap and easy to get hold of, but not having to worry about your next payment is pretty cool have not yet seen one sold anywhere to date though... like another user said ^^^ i believe they would expect an account like this to be traded and im sure it would be carefully monitored

 

I never even heard of this, if it does exist it is for a very very select few people.
