This FA has been weird and underwhelming lol

Just a bunch of average players getting overpaid due to the cap rise.

Evan Turner in Portland is interesting yet weird since he can't shoot the 3 on a 3 ball heavy team and needs the ball to be effective.

Dwight could have a resurgence in his effectiveness with Schroder running the point.

Mozgov has been complete garbage this year, so I don't know how he got 64m, but then again, it's the lakers.

Delly deserves the money, just not for his performance in the postseason. He is a top tier reserve if that makes sense.

Mike Conley has never been an allstar, but got a max deal for 153m, the most expensive contract in league history which just boggles my mind.

Wade isn't leaving the heat, he's trying to gain leverage to get more money, he is definitely deserving of it since he's never been the highest paid player on his team which is weird and does show his admiration for winning.

Joakim Noah got a 4 year 72m deal which just screams out crazy, but he was a legitimate contender for MVP years ago, and his play style fits the triangle offense perfectly if they are still gonna bother with that.

DeRozan is a shooting guard who can't shoot, a watered down version of Kobe. I can't justify his contract.

Whiteside deserves that money in full.

Batum's contract is iffy, but he's a legitimate SF when healthy.

Beal doesn't deserve that contract. He's averaging 17 and 3, and has a recurrent history of injuries.

Drummond was bound to get that money.

Apparently Durant was trying to recruit Horford to OKC, so maybe not.

Eh.. Spurs are a slow pace team with a bunch of old guys, not really ideal for facing the top teams in the NBA with younger/faster cores. I doubt he goes there. His best choices are golden state and OKC. In my opinion, OKC has the best team in the NBA if Durant stays.

Horford went to Boston, which is apparently one of the teams Durant met with. I doubt he would go to Boston though. I don't know how credible this story is but if Durant is really telling teams he will "make a decision soon", I don't think he is all that loyal to OKC. I don't think a loyal player would meet with a bunch of other teams if he knew he was just going to stay in OKC.

What do you guys think about the Rose trade? I didn't see any posts about it. So I figured I would gather some thoughts.

Lost a lot of respect for Kevin Durant. So many things about this decision are mentally weak.

Yeah man I've never wanted the Warriors to lose and the Spurs/Russell Westbrook to win any more then I do right now. I'm pumped for the season.

    Imagine:

You're working for Twitter (A pretty good tech company)
And Facebook comes and offers you a job (A much better tech company)

You don't take the job? Basketball is their profession...Why wouldn't you want to progress?

I don't mind that he left OKC for a better team. Hell, I encourage it. Chase greatness baby

At the same time, I also respect staying at the same place and working to make it better, but no more than I respect chasing greatness

Read KD's reasoning for going to GS before bashing on him. I respect his decision and am excited to see how he grows as a player with the Warriors.

Yeah but its not like he was just "working for OKC". He was their franchise player. He gave that up to be second to Steph Curry.

Personally I could care less when an athlete switches to a winning team. Players especially at that level love to win and hate to lose. Sometimes to them it is more about winning than loyalty.

This is absolutely insane man. When you're from Miami you become a diehard fan for your team. The city of Miami really revolves around sports and this trade is a serious stab in the heart of it's population. This is a sad day for me.
