Yet, a basic understanding of the history of the Middle East shows that they don't give up. Even when the situation is hopeless, they do everything they can to destroy the enemy. That is why the Roman Empire and the British Empire were unable to remain in power there for very long.

Understandable yes, but this is a whole different century, not to mention that India was a key factor in the decline of the empires. Those empires were taking over, we are just trying to stabilize the Middle East from terrorism at this point.

Regardless of Middle Eastern history, we must do what is necessary to demolish terrorism.

Actually, India had nothing to do with the Roman Empire's decline.

A whole different century, yes, where terrorists have access to explosives, making the job that much more difficult.

This month has been the bloodiest for our troops in two years. We're not stabilizing anything.

Lmao no one would dare attack the US well invasion wise.

I mean is it really worth it?
Not only are we losing hundreds of soldiers and and thousands of civilians probably more then when Saddam was in charge.
Theres rarely a successful terrorist attack here anyways with all the precautions and security since 9/11 maybe a bomb in a couple of years that would kill maybe 100 of people. so lets look here

Hundreds of soldiers and thousands of Iraqi lives > One succesfull terrorist attack that kills maybe one hundred people I seriously doubt another 9/11 would happen with all this security we have now.

    Think about this

    1. We move out of Iraq
    2. Terrorists take over Iraq
    3. Terrorists will gain alot of money by selling oil and shit
    4. Terrorists buy / make nuclear weapons. they can also make Terrorist training camps like they did in Afganistan
    5. Terrorists Plant a nuclear bomb in the USA
    6. Nuclear bomb goes off and kills millions of US people

I vote for staying and finish the job.

With all the money on the war that we are spending could be spent to improve our defenses. If we pull it then it will force the Iraqi government to take charge and be able to control it themselves. Even a pull out plan would help it would then force the Iraqi government to come up with a plan when we are gone.
