I have another question, i had an imposter of me on fagex, and it was proved he was an impostor. How will that affect my app?

 

Can't wait for this to open, hopefully my application will be accepted.. I'm too sick of getting scammed out of every account I try to buy in the Black Market. The only successful trade I've had are from buying geepee from R2Pleasent, because he's just the best. =]

 

As long as that impostor doesn't have your IP address (hah) then you'll be fine.

 

Oh well you said you would do a google search of our user names, and when you search my username, it comes up with his fagex page, but he is banned now for something. But yeah lol, just do some I.P check, they already did one with him.

 

Don't worry we will talk to guys over at fagex about it, there is still alot left to do before the site goes up

you are going to send a confirmaton code in the mail? you have to give out your address and phone number.--you say that you will not give the information out to anyone...im sure a bunch of people including me will not anyone with that kind of information. It dosent matter if you are a mod or an administrator.

what moron would give out their address AND phone number to some person on a forum?

thats the only crappy idea to the whole plan. you have to find another way to get ppl to comfirm themselves instead of for them giving out their address and phone number because anyone with common sense would not give their address or phone number to a person on the internet. You could easily show up to anyones door with that kind of information.

 

I would really like it if you could use cell phones but you can't get the street address using a cellular phone cause, well, they don't have one. I think you guys should just do it like Zamorak.org and just call, since you guys stole there idea anyway. My Mom would flip if I gave someone my Address and Phone and they called. I hope you guys find someway around this. Also, Glad you guys took the time to code this, not many Admins/Mods take the time like you guys do.

Most mil sellers give people their address anyway for PBM orders - and this is exactly why this system will deter scammers, you don't want people on the internet who are pissed off at you knowing all your info.

 

Personally, i'd trust mod's with my address.

 

anyone opposing this idea is obviously a scammer.

 

personally i think its a great idea, but i never get mail so it would be hard for peeps like me, although it can be mailed to a friends house but i think that would be avoiding regulations
