Program Error RT Error 13

Ok i have a very wierd error coming up.

on my code i have

private sub mnuOptions_Click ()
frmoptions.show
end sub

it works fine in vb

BUT WHEN ITS IN AN .EXE FILE IT BRINGS UP RUNTIME ERROR 13

Runtime Error 13:
Type Mismatch

Its totally got me... i dont know what to do.

 

Knowing you Jacob you have put some savesettings in the form load of frmOptions. Now when you use savesettings when in visual basic it saves it to a separate place than when it is an exe. If you are working on the Client then what has happened is, you ran a previous version with an error in the savesettings area, since it is a previous version it is still saved in the same place. I was having the same error you are getting, you will have to redo the savesettings portion use a different key in each one than you did previously. If the problem persists buzz me on msn, I will see which control is firing off the error.

 

make sure you don't have another control (like a label) called frmsettings also post your frmsettings (the form) Form Load code.
