    Quest workers: who is liable?

If I hire quest workers and clearly state that they have donated (for example) 50M and thus can be trusted with any amount up to 50M and trusting a worker with more is the customer own choice and responsbility.

Who is liable and for what amount if a worker were to scam 70M from a customer and would not want to refund it. Would I personallly have to pay back 50M, as it was clearly stated beforehand that that was the max amount the customer could trust the worker with, or would I have to pay back 70M regardless?

What kind of question is this? You're making it seem like your worker will scam any amount over 50m by stating that you should only trust the worker with this much. You're always liable if a worker scams; you are to determine a reasonable deposit amount to ensure they don't. Easy solution: don't hire someone that you think will scam...

You'll be liable regardless, but it doesn't hurt to make the point anyway as a deterrent

I think it is one of the most important things to know when considering to hire people to work for you. Also I never said a worker will scam any amount over 50M, I just gave an example for the moderators to judge.
Besides that, no one on the internet can be trusted 100%. It is important to know what the results might be when things go wrong, rather than thinking "well he seems trusted" and then getting suprised when something bad happends.

It is actually a really common thing to do and i'm sure most staking/swap clans do this if they allow people to buy in. By advertising an employee's maximum it deters that employee from scamming a profit. Otherwise strangers would constantly buy in to businesses as a stranger to scam more than they invested to buy in.

When I was in dragon dyce years ago we actually had like 4 different levels each differentiating a max bet we could take. The lowest was a 10m max bet (20m pot).

I totally understand that. Gambling is different. You can't take a higher bet than your rank allowed. That's not how skilling services work. Do you think a person who runs a skilling service says "I have 2 workers, one that put down a 50m deposit and another that put down 70m. Which do you want to use?"

Deposits are very common in skilling services but they aren't meant to be told to customers and then blame the customer for getting scammed by his own worker.

Anyways, OP said he wants it locked, just felt the need to respond to your post.
