Should I get 40 def?

I'm a ranger around lvl 60 with 82 range.
I have 45 prayer and plan to eventually get 52.
Many tank ranger (with 40 def) own me as I cannot hit them.
If I got 40 def I would own but what I would loose if I die would be greater (blackdhide top, rune full hlem, rune legs, rune boots, obby cape, glory)
40 def would mean I could get a firecape easier as I got 1 on my old rune pure with lower range.
Should I get 40 def?

P.S. This is for P2P pking.

 

p2p, get 70... rage in torag helm ;o

Torag helm
Karil top
Verac skirt
Rune Boots
Obby Cape
Glory Ammy

I cant afford to loose all that... plus nitiate pures own tank rangers normally.

 

if u got 40 def there are some plus sides to it and some negative sides to it so 40 def would help you in p2p but most of the pople that will be ur lvl after 40 def have a dds usually and the dragonhide wont save u there but if u use d hide legs and vambs with rune chain and helm then u would own even against a dds so yes get 40 def and wear that stuff

First off... You don't need rune boots or obby cape, and glory isn't needed just use a power.

I would suggest getting 70 def... I have never, I repeat NEVER seen a int. pure owning a ranger that's wearing a torags helm with black dhide... and torag helm, karil top, and verac skirt? You would get as many kill with helm and dhide.

Obby capes suck TBH, just wear a god cape.

Though if you stay at 40 def. Wear Rune helm, D hide top and legs w/ a chain in invo.

 

get 40 then get 99 ranged then 70 def

 

Well thats not really true because you can still hit through rune armor with such high range lv with ease but I think getting 40 def is worth it since I see a good number of tanks out there and def pures and they get pretty good kills owning them 1 def nubs out there lol

 

Dude don't get 40 def you will get combat lvls its not worth it

 

ya i would get 40 def all ud have to do is d slayer and heroes and ud be better

i wouldnt, i would go 30 def, 99 range, then 40 def if your gonna stay f2p or if p2p go for the 70 after 99 range

 

Tbh, I'd reccomend on keep building up range and stake and pk at the same time.. No defence.

 

getting combat is worth it. the higher combat u are the better loot you can get. 82 range 40 def > 60 att 65 str 40 def and u get dds/scim/rune armor possibly rather than bein pure u get robes and maybe a dds/scim from pures

dude stay 1 def when ur about 99 range ull be like 68 cb and ull completely own the meleers

Just leave it where it is. You could own already.

 

if you want 40 def for P2P your crazy, get at least 90 range, then get 45 defense for Archer Helm and black dhide body
