It's not possible with the pythagorean theorem. Well, you could actually do it, but that's only if you're allowed to have variables in the answer.

You can't do it even with trigenometry. The thing is that the sides could be many lengths with the 45 45 90 triangle, even with a constant hypotenuse.

Short side = 1/2 of the hypotenuse
Long side = hypotenuse x sqaure root of 3 or long side/square root of 3.

 

God damnit, it confused me, I wasn't close, I tried finding the Root of the hypotenuse, then, finding the root of the root of the hypotenuse, and using both #s for the legs.

Didn't make sense though.

 

Just use my way. Did almost the exact problem last week.

 

theres also a thing called sin rule i think it is. its the length of the string which i think is 25 cm u said or sumthing divide by 90 degrees.

A=B=C
sina = sinb = SinC

i dont know sumthing like that

 

do you know the angles?
if you know it, then you can use Sine, Cosine, and Tangent to find out the side lengths.

Ya, lol this is basic trig, 45 is maximum tragectory therefore angle=45 so, sin45*L1(length of string)=H duh
