PWO is all placebo my friend, yeah sure you're going to gain an insane amount of energy from the caffeine, but most of the time they fill those $50 products w filler and whatever other garbage so you keep spending your money, Google search and verify your ingredients in the product that you're taking and look at the dosage. Most of the times it's not even enough to do anything at all. Try drinking some coffee and eat your veggies.

How is it a placebo if it serves its purpose? People Don't buy a preworkout for anything other than an energy boost, it works for some people and doesn't for others according to studies and my own personal experience.

I take adderall daily which is 10 times stronger and better than any pre-workout because of its amphetamine content, the only downside is that you can't drink pre-workout because combining both of these would be too much.

If you don't have adhd, or no access to adderall then yes, take the pre-workout.
Don't be surprised if your heart rate increases by a lot and you sweat more than usually

I use C4, it does make a difference. I get itchy and all jittery, I only use it when i'm tired and not motivated to go to the gym though.

Just an energy boost. Easily substituted by eating protein before working out.

From personal experience, I believe that pre-workout is incredibly beneficial.
Not only does it force you to workout after you take it, but you feel so much more powerful and committed to the workout=gains.
One of the only bad things I got, maybe because I'm in highschool and was a little young for it, was acne and just the shakes. It would also make some parts of your body very very itchy, but it was cool because it gave you that feeling of 'oh it's actually working'.

No you do not need to take a Pre workout brand. The most effective ingredient in most pre-workouts is caffeine. So in my opinion you should just buy yourself some caffeine pills or brew yourself a cup before the gym.
