Did gas just raise AGAIN?

3.8-ish.

Basically, gas is rising due to instability in the Middle East. Instability caused by our Glorious Leader's Holy War (he did say that God told him to invade).

 

Around $1 USD a litre ($1.2 AUD) here in Australia.

 

Here in NY Ive seen $3.39 for a gallon, its been going up like everyday.

 

pahhh gas is like 91p per in england, which is not far of a pound and is a dollar like half of a pound im not sure excuse me if i look like a prat sp far more expensive in england ?

 

it happened because their was a letter going around the internet telling people to not get gas on the 15th so that their would be a dent in the oil companys profit so they realize that they need to lower gas
basically a strike

 

This is so horrible, I'm paying so much for gas now. Guess I'll have to pull out that old bike I have.

 

i live in quebec, the highest ive seen here is 1.21$ per litre (yes we go by litres here in ol' quebec)

 

What are you talking about? It's highest in IL, what, like $3.50/gallon. That isn't anything

 

It's around 3.60 USD here, Which is going to suck because im getting my car soon.

 

It just rose 10 cents today.

It'll go down eventually, it's more of just supply and demand right now. It won't stay this high for much longer. In the long run it'll slowly increase until it's about 5$ a gallon such as in 3rd world countries that get last dibs.

 

IN California its 3.15$ A gallon, the prices are outrageous.

Really? I thought that while I was surfing through the channels, I saw on the news that there is actually a trend in the deflation of gas prices. It sure does suck how it's so expensive though. Public transportation, bikes, and hybrid cars sure do help to save money that could be allocated for other things.

Gas prices are indeed outrageous. Last I saw here it was like $3.09 a gallon, not as bad as in other parts of the country, but a far cry from the $1.50 it used to be here like 4-5 years ago. I did some research, and I saw a direct quote from one of the head chairmans at one of the major companies, said something like "The main cause of the increase in gas prices is that the refineries in the south are still out of commission. We have Hurricanes Katrina and Rita to blame for the rise in prices." I saw that and said to myself, that was 2 years ago dipshits, they should be back up and running by now. I know the reason why gas prices are really up, it's greed. The people that run the companies want their wallets a bit fatter. Why, I remember a few months ago in the news, they said something like "Exxon recorded record profits last year." I'm like "Yea, no price gouging going on there (sarcasm)." We need to boycott the gas companies, make like a national bike to work day and make sure that EVERYONE participates. That will show the companies that we mean it when we say "Lower prices or else."
