Jagex seems incompetent

I tweeted them multiple times with pictures of Skype messages and the PayPal of mats vagan "selling" and then taking the account back then falsifying information on PayPal to keep the $170.

They said they'll investigate it multiple times to the multiple times I tweeted.

Last week I checked on the hiscores and he gained 22 mil exp.

This week reset he's already gained 2 mil. "Investigate" my ass lelelelelel.

How have your experiences with Jagex been like?

Account / sharing and trading is against their rules ain't much they can do is there ? Possibly ban the seller for rwt?

 

Honestly, that's what I thought. Jagex would be the last people I'd expect to get any sort of assistance from.

Yup. $170 I'll never see again, so I thought I'd try to bite him back by getting his account banned.

Of course, no action has been taken.

I agree. Honestly, I feel like they tweet that they will "investigate," but in actuality, it's just a ruse made to make people feel better.

 

They do investigate, they just wait for the guy to sell it again before they hit them with a perm ban. They wouldn't perm ban because 1 time IP change is a lack of evidence. The reason for the ban will be 'constantly changing hands'

Don't worry, in due time the account will be perm banned; that is if he goes to sell it on and recover it!

Note: I have seen many shitheads on reddit have their accounts banned for this very same reason!

 

The thing is, it was probably just a one time scam for $170. I posted pictures of his Skype and PayPal refusing to refund me, they said they'll investigate, but nothing has happened yet.

 

I highly doubt he will get a ben in that case, jagex has such a shit customer support, its unbelievable.

 

By far the worst company for customer support, their views on things are just ridiculous.

 

LOL i can't tell if this is a joke. account sales is the last thing they want, they won't help you. But, yes their support setup is rubbish. Why wouldn't they have an email? 140 characters makes no sense, only allows them to give you a standard copy and link paste etc from their useless support centre. absolutely useless

 

Yeah. I also don't understand how everyone talks about charge backs from PayPal. They wouldn't refund my money even after I sent like 20 files worth of evidence...

 

I'd recommend calling your bank directly and saying you didn't authorise payment, that way you have more of a chance of getting your stolen money back.

 

This is a small concern to Jagex.

 

For all the people complaining about JaGeX having bad customer support, it's due to them being British. Unfortunately us Brits are known for having services with the worst type of customer support.

@ OP I do hope they flagged his account atleast? Incase he decides to somehow reselll in future and it gets hit with a ban.

Although if I'm being honest considering you were buying the account (I'm thinking you told them this?) their probably just sitting back and saying "well that's what the rules are there for". Genuinely not caring for your case, because at the end of the day to them it would be your fault.

 

can't fault BT, they have the best customer service out of the internet providers, and they are british, got it in their name...

 

I'm an honest guy so that would be lying and not something I'd do. I just told them that I tried to purchase an account on RuneScape and got scammed. The jackass provided screenshots of the selling process and the claim went in his favor.

 

I agree. I just wanted a good account to play with for sentimental values. Never had too much time even though I enjoyed the game and just wanted to play some high level events like fighting Araxxor.

I'd be perfectly fine if they'd ban me as well because I deserve it for trying to purchase the account. However, it's also indisputable that this scamming jackass deserves to be banned for a fraudulent "sale" to obtain money for more TH keys.
