    Idolizeds workout log.

    Idolized whats a good exercise to hit the longhead. Right now all I'm doing for direct isolation is pushdowns/overhead extensions after my chest workouts

    Couple tips with the tris - Although I usually double up on work outs like you are, (Ie: Triceps after chest), I often will just do a FULL arms day, that way you don't pre-fatigue your tri's with chest workouts.

    As far as the long head:
    Basically anything OVERHEAD is going to blast your long head on the tricep, one of my favorites is:
    Attach a rope to a lower cable machine - same machine you do tricep push downs on- and put a incline bench in front of the machine and you can do a cable over-head tricep extension on this. Blast these bitches PAST FAILURE, thats one of the keys with triceps, go past failure, if you aren't squeezing your eyes shut and gritting your teeth while doing your triceps, you aren't hitting them properly. The work out BEGINS when it starts to hurt.

    Protect your joints though, keep your arms tight.
    Overhead tricep extensions like you're doing, with either dumbell's or EZ-Bar is another good one.
    Another One arm Cable Extensions, similar to one arm dumbell extensions, but I get a better pump with these - Have no attachment on the cable, stand sideways, grab the cable put over your head and extend. Do a manageable weight, but go past failure on this one as well.
    Implement 2-3 overhead triceps into your tricep workout and you should see some ridiculous results.

    Alright nice I've been training for a couple years but definitely not your size yet but my weakness seems to be my triceps I think my biceps are overpowering and its causing me to lack potential size. Thanks for your help

    Update:
    Took some time away from RS and Sythe to launch a new office in Virginia. Then I went on vacation for two weeks. During this time off, I took an entire week off to let me joints get rested.
    I find that my muscles go much further than my joints, lately they have been a massive issue for me but I didn't take much time off of the gym.

    This week off has been the longest time off I have taken from the gym since I started working out.

    The grind continues tomorrow so I will get back to uploading my logs.
    Hope to hear your guys' opinions!

    Be safe man. You sound like you know your stuff and limits, but I know how it is to be getting gains and push hard. Don't do yourself more harm than good. Good thing you took a break, shows you are being careful. But "massive issues" doesn't sound too great. Stretch a lot, yoga, gymnastics or something. Keep limber so your body can keep up. I REALLY need to take this advice myself, I've lost a lot of my flexibility,

    Thanks brother, I appreciate it.
    I will admit, I did go WAY harder on my joints than I should have(I.e. Not taking time off even though my elbow, knee and wrist were jacked)
    Fortunately, I think I am back to normal; been blasting glucosamine & fish oil hard, and then resting resting resting.
    You're 100 right though, I definitely need to do some more stretching. That's one thing I tend to neglect hard.
