The World is Going To End!!!(47 Years)!!!

Dude, am serious... i saw it on Discovery Channel They said that in aprox. 47 years a real big meteor was going to hit the earth and cause a cloud over a big portion of our planet and this was going to cause it to cool down dramatically. They said it was a 90% chance of it happening

Thought it was an astroid for Friday the 13th (Coincidence) 2012? Name was Apocos (I think) and the chance was around 1/32? Saw this a while ago, glad if someone can lighten me up.

For you thing I think that the world will end much faster or atleast the human race before that metoer will hit Earth. 47 years is a large time frame and anything can happen espically with what we are currently doing to Earth.

Spam much? FORTY SEVEN YEARS = 47 years. By the time you supposedly die from this time you are 47 + X, with X being your age so you wont be able to die young. People that die young are negatives which mean they arent born yet.

The Mayans agree with the theory of the world ending in the year 2012, simply because that is when their calendar abruptly ends.

 

Possible But quite frankly Im a christian and the bible states that the world will be here for 10s of thousands of years and will remain here until God himself decides otherwise... thats just my personal opinion and one of many others but the possibility does exist and it doesnt mean that it could hit and the world still exist... No Offense Intended.

Suprisingly every poster in this thread has failed to mention some sort of counter plan nasa or someone else would be devising if this were a possibility to protect earth. So not only do these have a 1 in a bijillion squillion trillion chance of hitting us if there is cause for alarm we will be prepared.

 

Discovery Channel aren't God....they cant be sure that this will happen...duh

Would it be that big of a deal if the human race was wiped out by this asteroid? I doubt it, this asteroid would probably be more beneficial for the planet if it hit it, then leaving the human race alive for however many years more, with what we do to the Earth and all
