aim_johnboyy805 account recovered

I bought

a week ago for $150 paypal. I went first and a week later he sent in a recovery request triggering jagex into looking into the account which got it banned for rwt/account sharing.

I did not submit any recovery that is a total and absolute lie. I told him if he can prove it was triggered from a recovery by the OO I would reimburse him in full. However, it being recovered a few weeks after our transaction and you out of the blue claiming it was from a recovery is simply false. If it was from a recovery you would not still have access to the account. He also did not include much of our conversation where he talked about how revealing names on selling/trading websites didn't result in bans, which I told him is wrong. Just seems a little fishy to me that he was very defensive about it not being a cause of ban and is just adamant on it being a recovery when there is no proof of a recovery being placed he was banned for account sharing RWT a few weeks after buying it from me.

 

You stated the account was not owned by you. And yet the day it was banned was the day the OO was banned on this site.

 

Do you have any proof that the original owner or aim submitted a recovery attempt @senpai1234

 

Account was banned for Account Sharing RWT, which only comes from recovery attempts with enough information correctly entered by the person recovering.

 

That's a myth, rather than fact. If that was true, that means recovery attempts would ban accounts (which is false). It's possible JaGeX found evidence of the account being sold and banned the account. Since selling an RS account is against their rules, if they found sufficient evidence they would ban the account. Without definitive proof that the original owner or aim were directly involved with the account being banned, there is nothing to do here. Similar to buying gold, if you're banned by JaGeX, you cannot hold the gold site at blame. This is the risk you take when participating in the blackmarket for RuneScape.
