Swap Magic for the ps2

I just found out about this thing the other day. So I decided to get it cause 20 bucks to get ANY ps2 game sounds like a massive bargain.
So anyways, for those of you that have it, anything I should know about it?
Anyone that has it.. just tell me whether its worth it or not.. thanks

dont use it dude trust me, buy a soldering iron and a modchip and have someone you know who mods install it for you or do it yourself to boot your backup discs, swap magic will rape your dvd drive, everytime you use it, you are pulling on your tray which will fuck your ps2 up in around 6 months, in result bricking it.

I was planning on taking the case off so I don't have to pull out the tray
but.. how will it hurt anything else? I'm just putting in a cd. I have a friend who can mod my ps2.. but I was thinking this would be easier.

lol, sorry, thats pretty funny though.

 

i had a modchip put in before, ever since, i have to stick a knife down my ps2 daily to unjam the disc tray..

 

People who have the modchips break their ps2 didn't install it correctly, so it's their fault

Either, ask a person you know who knows to install modchips and get one, or

get swapmagic and take the top off of your ps2 to put the disc in so the drive is fine.

 

Can ps2's be softmodded? Thats what I did to my xbox...

 

nah ps2s cant be softmodded or flashed, mega, i would just go with having ur friend install it, a lot less hassel
