Commission Staking Hosts Banned

So I am "part" of one of the two main commission staking FC's and am on very good terms with the other. Recently our FC has had several host accounts banned (as well as alts) on "Serious Rule Breaking" charges, no evidence supplied. This has been happening over the past couple of days, and has began to happen to the other FC as well apparently. Jagex has, since it became a company, been incredibly unprofessional in how it handles business. These accounts are getting banned literally with no evidence or reason. My guess is that, like Oldschool Runescape, Jagex is going to make commission staking in RS3 against the rules and are simply jumping the gun on bans.

Either way this is not how you should be handling this kind of situation, simply banning people who aren't currently doing anything wrong and without supplying a viable reason/evidence. Keep a look out, the Duel Arena has gotten a lot more dangerous. I've been interested in becoming a host myself, but am afraid to due to recent events. My account is from 2004, I would never want to lose it.

 

Only 1 host from our fc has been banned and his was for genuine RWT. I believe due to your owners is the reason they're linking ranks to major RWT too as well as their history of breaking the rules.

 

I will admit I'm a bit ignorant to the history of some of the hosts, I am just going off of what I've seen recently since I've been around for 7months at least, first time this has happened since I've been there.

 

Yeah I understand haha, 3 of the hosts I know that have been banned from Elite have also RWT'd a lot, not sure if I can say names but "K****" sold a lot and so did "Sh*ck***". So it wasn't for "No reason" although they will deny it

 

Fair enough, wasn't them though, a handful of others. But yeah naturally you'll defend yourself of breaking rules either way. I just prefer to be safe than sorry.

Jagex banning hosts in commission staking and gambling scenarios rarely has to do with rules being broken.

As a host of many different friends chats and runescape "organizations", I have experienced multiple bans and witnessed many setbacks.

If anything these bans could be best related to jagex doing preventative maintainance when it comes to RWT.

The fact of the matter is that when it comes to gambling on runescape, there is always RWT involved on at least one end. Some of the hosts rwt, some of the betters rwt.

So yes, this group is the reason that everyone is taking flak from jagex for things that they haven't done, there isn't really a way to solve it other than joining in yourself and milking these opportunities for as long as they last.

From what I can infer through my experience, when hosts start getting "preventative" banned, things start going downhill. Just remember that nothing lasts forever.

 

People get banned because they snitch on each other...

 

I was going to make a thread about this, but you worded this very well. I've certainly seen situations where players who have not been involved in RWT, yet were hosts in Commision Staking FC's get banned.

This is not even including the fact the FC's themselves get banned. I've seen them changing their names more and more often. It's almost as if Jagex doesn't want it in the game, however doesn't want to outlaw it either.

It seems to be a matter of time before what happened on 07 happens on Rs3.

 

Any sort of clan aimed at making mass amounts of money is synonymous with RWT. It's nothing new and has occurred since the days of dicing. If they supply evidence, they teach you how they catch you, which is something they don't want to do.

 

I was gonna say something along the lines of that, hmmmm wonder how they do catch you, interesting....If its based off your winnings in the duel arena thats kinda shady, They should make it a rule if they are gonna ban people for it.

 

I've never seen a host who wasn't breaking the rules in some form be permanently banned, be it botting, RWT anything like that - if a host was banned they were doing something wrong. That's not to say every person who has been banned is breaking RS rules, as Jagex mess up all the time banning innocent players claiming their system is 100% accurate, but in the case of hosts it's usually spot on

A clan aiming on making a lot of Gp is going to have RWT involved and often also other rule-breaking.
Eventually banns are unavoidable.

 

I'll be glad to see Eoc commission staking coming to an end. Never liked the scene or people involved. Cesspool of old scammers and slime balls. Not to mention how many staker 54's 12 owners. lol

 

Its not legal so im pretty sure its just another piece of jagex's weird mindset.
