Tired of this...

Well, this is kinda random, but i'm tired of people being so specific about the music genre... just like the other day me and my friends were talking about blink 182 and i was like "yea, great rock band" and my friend said "no dude, they're emo/punk/alternative rock you faggot!!!"... well, it was something like that... and there's all this shit in rap like r&b, underground, street something... seriously, who gives a shit what it is specifically??

For real who gives a fuck what kind of music it is a long as it's good. I got cussed out because I called a "hardcore" band punk one time lol

I really why we need to get EXTREMELY specific and say "Oh yeah, I listen to that acid/funk/nu metal/jazz/beat/trance/80s/metal/death/grunge/rock/hardcore band called 'Stapler' ". I just call it Metal if its heavy, Rock if its softer. Thats it.

the only people that get specific are the ones that know nothing about music and think being specific will make them sound smart.
obviously, it shows how much they know about music.
if you only call it rock or metal, then you obviously enjoy music and not try to be a genius about it

 

this is true, i call a band like rap or something and ppl cuss me out yelling "Oh no its R&B!!!" i mean who the hell cares, rap if its talking, and rock if its not theres my breakdown of music

 

It doesn't even matter if the music is good or not, as long as you enjoy it? Who are they to judge what is good or not, are you even going to see him 20 years down the road? Most likely not, so fuck them and what they think.
