GT can't be stripped from account on a silver account. This is because 1) I wouldn't do it anyways to avoid turbo programs. 2) GTs are not automatically freed up upon changing anymore (this is why they had that recent release of GT names).

So what you're saying is there's no point in buying a tag with the intention of using it on your existing account?

Well... I ain't starting again that's for sure.

 

Unfortunate if you are attempting to change your tag from a silver to a main you will always have a risk of someone trying to turbo it.

It's very risky and not advised especially if it's very OG if it's a normal tag it doesn't matter no one will turbo something that isn't worth much

 

How would you go about doing it if you wanted to try?

 

You would need to be logged in to both accounts on two separate computers. Once you change the name you will need to ensure you have that name ready and typed in on the account you want and try to grab it. That's it
