Overwatch just a shooting lol/dota game.

the styles and heroes they have in overwatch preety much are like dota 2 and lol characters but more like lol because of the cartoonish graphics and just a shooting game how do people come across this to think overwatch is a better game then Call of duty franchise ahahah

 

its more of a Smite/TF cross then anything

 

To me it aligns more with Team Fortress 2 (cartoony FPS game). Looks interesting enough for me to try it out

 

i say dota 2 because of the hero who looks like pudge and has the same hook as his move lol as for the game id give it about 7-8 / 10 its an okay game i guess.

It's not going to make it. It's tf2, but costs money and doesn't have a market. Those are the only reasons tf2 even still exists.

How is it..similar to DoTA? I really don't understand. There are only so many combinations of abilities that any given character can have, and often they'll share characteristics. People often mistake this as "copying," like from moba to moba. This usually isn't the case.

Yes, there will always be tanks with crowd control and damage mitigation. That's what tanks do. Especially when you think about mobas that have hundreds of characters, they'll start to think alike.

With game modes, class system, inter-class reliance and the literal matching of every single class from tf2, it's a quite obvious clone.

TF2 - Overwatch
Sniper - Widow
Medic - Hydra
Demoman - Junkrat
Soldier - Pharah
Heavy - Bastion and the ugly hook nigga can both fit this match
Scout - Tracer
Pyro - This may be the only one that doesn't directly correlate, as Pyro is a cookie cutter press button towards enemy in close range and they die. Winston's weapon and the other(s?) with lockon weapons fit this dumb shit.
Spy - The nigga with the teleport and for some reason 6shooter close range shotguns? idk
engineer - lol. you literally whack the fucking sentry with a wrench. in.both.games.

I've always stated from day 1 it looks exactly like TF2. Somehow, random players because self-proclaimed "Pros" before the game was even publicly released and where astonishingly picked up by Team owners like liquid lmao.

In regards to "Pro Scene"
It will not become the "next big thing", even though blizzard constantly try to create games that would become an "e-league".
In the next statement i might be a bit biased because I play csgo, but the game is not fun to watch.
There's too much of a cluster fuck going on and Is a headache to watch as a viewer unlike csgo which in comparison is extremely simple (and requires more skill/tactic).

 

Guys I don't like the game too lol I just don't like the fact there trying to lead over call of duty / csgo and mobas but I know it will never pass them it's not good enough.

 

I'm not interested in playing it either. It was a let down and I agree with the post above relating it to TF2

Call of Duty has been releasing basically the same game with different graphics and different guns since like 2010. That series has been a joke since Call of Duty 4. The only similarity Overwatch has to a MOBA is that each character has different abilities. I have never played TF2 so I can't compare the two but from what I know Overwatch is revamped version with more characters and will probably include more competitive play. But I don't know how anyone can say the game won't make it when there were around 9.3 million people playing the beta with ~4.9 billion minutes played. Seems like people stuck around and enjoyed it.

 

you see thats the thing call of duty dont really care what the people want because call of duty has made it to the stage where its a huge esports game something overwatch is trying to be every year cod is released they have 1m prize pools @ cwl 3 times so they basically give away 3m then make a new game i find every new cod game as just updates to 1 game even tho u got to buy it because its an e sports game mainly people buying it now to play in tournaments only.
do you honestly think call of duty does not know what the fans are saying if they wanted to they can just listen to then fans and make a game that everyone wants and it will sell out everywhere they just dont feel the need to do it yet as there getting top sold list every game they release..

 

Only reason people play it is because it was hyped. Nothing more, nothing less.
People are delusional not realizing it's an exact copy of TF2 and ALOT of children play it due to the "e-sports" (which was fueled even more by team owners "picking up" players before the game was even publicly released lmfao) hype thinking they'll be the next "famous" player.

 

I bought it and it's fun. Just nice being way better than average players no matter what game you play because you can just smash pubs and that's all that really makes a game fun in my eyes.

I never really liked climbing competitively because it's frustrating losing and I play games for fun. (stomping on smurfs, playing norms with friends, playing WoW BGs with full arena gear, etc.)

 

yeah but it does not stop the fact that its blizzard has been trying to make a successful esports game and have failed many times and they will again.

 

Who cares lol it's a fun game and it's only $40 if you're worried about the price you have better things to worry about

 

price is the least of my worries i own the game and money is not a problem for me but the lack of effort put in a game pisses me off and it gets rated 9/10 on gamespot....
