How do I use a .gif as my avatar?

What does it do/say when you try to use a gif avatar? Maybe the filesize is too big, or it might be a donor only feature

 

File's too large. Do you know how I can create a custom .gif in a smaller format?

 

Search google for like a gif optimiser or compressor, i've used compressor.io before and it cut my filesize in half, your milage may vary

 

Yeah this is currently the only way, and it seems like you've managed to make it work. Avatars will be updated in the future, however they're not high priority at the moment.
