Your opinion on Child Obesity

They are making it quite a big deal in, if not the whole USA, California that Child Obesity is making children suffer diabetes and other diseases. I think that parent's should make better choices on what they feed their children with, and give their children regular exercise to prevent the growth of obese kids.

 

This is a big topic, and you see how technology advances and so does people becoming lazy. As technology advances more, the less work we have to do, making us fatter. Also with tv's computers etc. it makes it even worst. Who knows in ten years we might not even have to walk anywhere.

child obesity is a big problem it not only creates problems with kids physically but also mentally as kids are extremely cruel to these kids and they grow up lonely and it does start at what your parents feed you as a child and today there are many fast food restaurants that do nothing but advertise to children who beg their parents to go there and the parents eventually succumb to the pressure and once you are obese its difficult to become normal again because a lot of people eat when there sad and when your obese as a child kids pick on you constantly thus making you sad thus making you eat more, also in elementary school many kids only have p.e. one day a week or at least thats how it is where i live, and besides that one day kids are watching t.v. or playing on the computer and not going outside and playing

 

I think that kids are gettin obese because thier parents allow it. I think parents should serve there kids 3 meals a day or 5 small meals and have them get off there ass and stop playing WOW!

 

That last statement is overrated.
Not all kids play WoW.
I think the majority of the kids are so fat is because they eat too much fast food, Eating while watching tv/lying on the couch, and not enough regular exercise. In my school, they stop PE after sophmore year, so people rarely get to do exercise.
I personally skate to keep fit.

 

Yea that is true. I play baseball, basketball, paint ball, swim, and anything else I can do. I am pretty active myself

 

yeah in my school p.e. is required for one semester in our freshman year with the other semester being health, and in our P.E. class nobody does anything yet everyone has an A

 

america is the fatest country in the world because of Mcdonalds, Arbys, toco bell, ect. And Now since China is getting alot of the american fast food places, they are now getting bigger, but alot about obesity has alot to do with the genes you get from your parents/family

And to all of you saying its because people don't play sports or whatever, I play sports/lift weighs/run all of the time. You forget that a lot of people get it hereditary.

 

alot of people do get through their genes but most do not because if most got it through genetics then why all of a sudden is it a big promblem

 

I don't really think it is a problem, Let people do what they want.

 

Right now it might not be a problem, but in 50 years, when everyone who is 10-20 years old, gets older, then our whole social security and health care will be a disaster. Think about all the health issues and how bad the economy will be. With so many people going broke because of that, I think it will be a disaster for our children. They will have to take care of us, because of all the problems we will have with our health.

You act like this isn't already happening now- Look around you, Alot of people are obese, Alot of people aren't. Everybody isn't going to just turn obese in 10-20 years. There are people who stay in, design things to make society a better and easier place, and there are people who play sports for a living, Or something that requires athleticism, thats how the world is now, And it's how it will be untill the end. Besides, there is always surgerys and shit people can get.

 

I don't really think ppl should be fat... I blame fast food, parents for not giving children a good working ethic. And new technology.... The only reason we create technology is to make our life easier. Think about it... we're getting lazier and lazier by the minute

 

If someone is fat (and has nothing wrong with him) it's either his own fault, or if they are very young, the parents.

 

Their own fault, or their parents, just because someone is fat doesn't mean there is something wrong with them.
