How to register new .OCX files?

how do you? cuz i get an error when I try to append winsock to the tools... Im in VB6 btw if that helps. I've already tried typing in run "regsvr32 MSWINSCK.OCX" and that didn't work....

heres the error message I get in VB:

"License information for this component is not found. You do not have an appropriate license to use this functionality in the design environment"

1). Download the Winsock Control to your system 32 folder.
2). Go to start > run and type in regsvr32 MSWINSCK.OCX

A message should have appeared saying either you successfully installed it or something fucked up.

if it says registered successfully you may be registereing a different ocx, make sure you only have one file in you system or at least one in the windows folder

you can also run this command directly from the system32 folder in a command window to make sure you are doing the right thing

How to register new .OCX files?

If you get an error about it not having the license, then just google it and figure out how to get a license.

How to register new .OCX files?

I have, and google is not being very productive. google is not always the answer. I would rather have someone who is experienced explain the problem to me.
