on step#3 u said Open up the source you downloaded from the begging of the guide.which source was it because if it is the http://www.moparscape.org/moparscape.html. if is is this it dont work right. When i click on the second HERE it takes me to rapidshare so that is not moparscape 3.2w/aryan and on the third HERE it goes to uppit (i have no idea wat to do on uppit) and on the first is say error on page..

hey jordan the guide as awsome i dident have any trouble at all apart from at the end like adding my npc's they dont appear like they should? and aswell wehn i lg in its some one elses ip aswell like theres alredyfull drag in shops and it says its owner is some other personnot me so whats that all about do u no? because i think that is why it wont let e put on npc f my own thanx again the giude was awsome though so so so easy.

hi ppl iam on the last bit now i have done everything now lol i was a noob i didnt read it properly now i did now iam stuck on the ip and the port when i run runserver this comes up error :

Before we begin, download these:
Moparscape:http://www.moparscape.org/moparscape.html
Testscape:http://www.sendspace.com/file/sqe9af
OK, this is how we make a private server...

STEP#1: Go to www.no-ip.com

Once there, click 'Sign-up now!'


This should come up:


Fill out all the information it asks then click 'I accept, create my account':


They will then send you a confirmation email, once received, confirm your email adress.

Ok, now go back to www.no-ip.com and log in:


Under 'hosts/redirects' click on '-add':


This comes up:


Ok, now where it says 'hostname'-thats the name of your server. (using jpdeshiznetscape,no-ip.org) you would put 'jpdeshiznetscape' where it says hostname, and 'no-ip.org' in the box under it. Once you do that, scroll down and click 'create host':


Now, find the tabs near the top, and go to 'downloads':
(jmod)This is the No-IP.com Dynamic DNS update client it is a safe download.

Now select whatever operating system you have:http://www.no-ip.com/downloads.php?page=win(for windows)

Once downloaded, install it.

STEP#2: Go to 'my computer':


Then right click, and click 'properties':


Find the tabs on the top, and click 'Advanced':


Then click on 'enviromental variables':


Then click 'new':


After clicking 'new' a box should come up, for Variable name, type:CLASSPATH...For value type:Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_07\bin;%CLASSPATH%;.


Then click 'ok'.
jmod)ok this is were alot of people are having trouble ok.
by the guide he means the testscape file.
ok now when you download testscape it might have come up as a file that you cant open it says the youneed to choose a program.
none of your normal windows programs will work so you have to download (winrar).it is a must file for all of this runescape server stuff.if you dont have it your going no were.

when the url is open the download will automaticly pop up press save thensave it were you want it i suggest make a file called winrar
if you keep everything neet then its all easy to find.
once it is downloaded press the open folder button and install the winrar program.
once it is downloaded all the files you could never use are now accesible.
and if you think all hope is lost and the link dosent work just google search
(free winrar download)and click the top link.

now there is still more to come
now go back to your testscape file and it will look like a stack of books.
no you will have to right click on it and extract files i sugest you make a new folder called testscape extract/ now extract testscape to this file.



STEP#3:now open the testscape extract file and there is everything you need inside the file.
Find 'run', or 'runserver'. When you have found it, right click on it, and click 'edit'. It should look something like this:


now highlight 'Testscape server' then change it to the name of your server. Once you change it, click file>save. Then doubble click 'runserver' or 'run' and leave the black box that comes up running.otherwise the when you open up moparscape and type in your user and pass it will just say cant conect to server.

STEP#4jmod) Open moparscape ( download from the main moparscape sight if you havnt already ) the url to download moparscape is http://www.moparscape.org/moparscape.html.then type in a username and password any password or username works, and then click 'login'. Dont change the ip of the server just log in.GRATS YOU NOW HAVE A SERVER!

Ok, now for adding npc's.

Copy and paste one of the already done npc codes. It should look like this:

Now, change the '54' to the ID of the monster you want to spawn.

Stand where you want the monster to spawn in your server, and click on the running guy to find your cordinates:


Where it says X=3209, your going to change the second number(2665) from your autospawn.cfg, to 3209.

Where it says Y=3425, your going to change the third number(3161) from your autospawn.cfg, to 3425.

You will leave all the rest at 0's if you dont want them to move. If you want them to move, change the rangex1, rangey1, rangex2, rangey2 to the cordinates you want it to move in.

Step#1: Open up your character file:


Then open up the charecters file you want to edit:


Now, under the part [CHARACTER], you should find 'character-rights = 0'. If you want to make them a mod(silver crown) change the 0, to a 1. If you want to make them an admin(gold crown) change the 0, to a 2. If you want to make them the owner, change the 0 to a 3.

the onley thing i culd think of is that you are not running the (runserver)or(run) in the test scape file run that file when you start up moparscape.

the other thing u might be doing is
:trying to use the www.moparscape.com thats rong X[/SIZE]
you need to download moparscape onto your pc the url to download moparscape is

the press the first (here) symble.
if you dont have this your ms server will not work now when you download it make a file calle moparscape the it will download a moparscape fille then double clic it and click install and there it is now make shure you have your run file running when you open moparscape.

ok well to et your server on the net all you have to do is goto your
h do you use dlink/adsl or dail up?
well im gathering u use adls so go into your adls on yur computer
and type in your serever you want to be let out because adsl will automaticly block your server from leaving your computer so yeh
then once you have putyour name of your sever in then it will ask forthe ports
now you have to take a wild guess at these
so just type anything i suggest somthing like

[3425]-[3430]

u no any way i think thatmight have been a bit hard to get if it dosent work tel me and ill make amovie on how to do it for you.
