Do games like GTA and CS..

i dont think they did to me but it think it could to some ppl if they played it to much but w\e

 

I think that is really true, although its maybe not supressing them, because supressing is to push it down further and build it up. I think it 'Removes' the feelings of doing the things we see.

Depends on the player, i wouldnt recommend buying cs to a 5 year old boy, im disappointed that nowadays 5 year old kids play rs... We did lots of things in that age

 

these games do nothing to me, i just play them for fun and like the action in them, it doesnt make me want to go outside and kill people.

That kind of shit just happens on law and order.. and shows like that... But i can't exactly say that violent games/movies help

 

Some games and movies younger kids and teens are exposed to now adays cant be good for them but i cant see it being the only reason for doing something crazy.

The only reason anyone EVER would be affected that much by a video game is if they have serious problems to begin with (mental instability). If you can't realize that video games =/= real life, you fail. :X

 

There just video games.. and actually GTA gets boring after awhile maybe if a infant where to be brainwashed and played nothing and did nothing accept play GTA and counterstrike we would have a couple of school shooting's or something.. or that infant would turn into a fat lard couch potato... who knows..

 

i dont feel like doing any of those things either, the parents flipping out about that stuff need to realize its a game, not a life lesson

 

NO, i feel that if your in a perfectly normal state (not mental) these games shouldn't affect you.

 

I think they do, actually one day.. i sat in my backyard.. i saw biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig oak next to our neighbor.. i felt like... umm.. i get axe and cut tht tree, then i trainfletching and make bows for neighbor kids.. then i woke up from the american dream and ran back to computer..

 

Not really, if anything you are more aware of the bad things that result in such actions.

 

It depends on the game.

Playing games like Tony Hawk or Need For Speed can sometimes make you want to try it all out in real life.
I know Need For Speed has been a major influence on both me and my friends outlook on cars, acctually, it practically created our passion.

Other games, like GTA and CS, would only influence a young, naive child or someone with a weak mind (no offense to anyone).

There have been numerous high-speed car accidents in australia where Need For Speed has either been found in the car, or the driver had been playing it previous to driving.

How many massacres or gang wars have there been where police have found people involved had been playing GTA previous?

Video Games are just an excuse bad parents use to cover their tracks -.-'

 

Didn't have an affect on me, but I will admit that I know people who take games and movies very seriously. So I would say it does affect some people.

 

If you think people imitating what they see on video games is sad, how about the WoW addicts.
