    The best C Language?

    No! OMFG.

    If you people know anything - neither is _the_ best.

    C and C++ effectively work in conjunction with each other, so to make effective and useful programs one should use both languages. Therefore - they are both equal. C# is just one of MS's attempts to compete with Java and whatnot.

    As an answer to your questions,

    Neither are really "new"
    Neither are easy.
    Neither are "the best"
    It isn't the best - no language is.

    'nuff said. Learn Java if you want an _easy_ approach to the C languages. Java is a child of C++. It has C++'s codebase, but it also has C's syntax, as well as it was made to be easier coding ... so you're getting a bit of all-round when you learn Java.

    C++ is probably the most functional
    C# is the newest and probably has the easiest syntax (very similar to Java, but not exactly the same)

    Neither of them are 'the best'

    The newest?C#
    The easiest to learn? I'm torn between C and C#... C# has an easier syntax, but C has so very little 'extra bits' to learn.
    The best? For what situation? Kernel Developemt, Embedded systems, real time applications, GUI and non cpu-needy programs?
    why it is the best? ^^

    Also, Swan; You don't need to work with both C and C++ to write effective and useful programs. I'm pretty sure you can do practically everything in C++ the same way you do in C. Backwards compatible :D Of course, I could be wrong.

    Neither of them are really "better" than each other, and they are both not easy to learn.

    C++ isn't really a great language to learn first. Something like Python is great. Simple, yet powerful... However, C++ is also good to learn first as you don't get caught up with really High Level Language features straight away.

    But, one could argue that C++ is still to high level and you should start off with Assembly. But, whatever. Really, pick a language which is suited to your needs.

    The easiest to learn? Delphi based on pascal. (I started of it myself)
    The best? There is no the best language. Some of them have more minuses others less. Btw delphi compiler works faster then c++. Personaly i like c++ most.

    C++
    It's easier than C without being limiting. While C++.NET and C# have compilation downsides as well as versatility and lack of references (in comparison with C++).

    I would have to correct you; C# is not one of MS's attempts to compete with Java. J# is, on the other hand, one of MS's attempts to compete with Java.

    The best games have been made in a form of C (as far as FPS anyway), C is also easier to learn.
    I prefer C++ (what I know of it) over C or C#.

    Easiest version of C++ = Dev-C++ (this is free)
    Best version of C++ = Microsoft Visual Studios

    C and C++ are very similar. C++ is basically C with classes. A C program will compile as C++ with very few changes.

    C# is different. It is a .NET language, more similar to Java. It could probably be considered higher level than C++ and it is almost a RAD (You can program and make forms VB style), but it is significantly slower than C/C++.

    C++ is C with the Object Oriented features(And some other stuff).

    C# is the easiest to learn probably because the Syntax is eaiser then C/C++ and you don't have to code the GUI. Though, It has its disadvantages and advantages.
