Bored of RS. Bored of WoW. Bored of Gw2.. anything new?

i just want some fresh air with a nice MMO game to start fresh on

any recommendations ?

 

MMO's in general aren't that popular of a concept as they once were, I've been having a lot of fun getting back into FPS games such as CSGO if you haven't tried that out before. League of Legends is currently the most popular game out there, I got bored of it after about 3 years though.

 

Try Black Desert Online. Been playing it on and off since it came out about a month ago. It doesn't suck me in like WoW did when I first got into it, but it's a really fresh feeling in an MMO with the combat system, and the game itself looks amazing.

 

I also wish there was some good MMO's to play...but after much research I didn't find anything that I could get into..

Would love to see something come out worth playing.

 

I'm in the same boat, nothing new. League here and there, but shit gets boring quick. Nothing like grinding our HOURS of COD back in the day, can't do that anymore shit is too boring.

Play Dota! Has a really steep learning curve, can never get bored of it.

 

I second this. Not necessarily Dota, I'm more of a League / HoTS kinda guy, but I really like MOBAS. I used to only play MMO's but after I realized how much of a time sink / grind they really were, I started looking for other games to play. I used to not be able to put WoW down, now I'm the same about League. It's just so nice knowing that every game is a fresh and different experience. Overall all you're getting out of the game by putting mass amounts of time into it is skill, not mass amounts of gold or overpowered items. To me, it makes it feel like I'm playing the game for fun, not so I can grind out a new set of gear to do the next dungeon.

 

I'm in the same position. Been playing MMOs forever, so it's getting kind of boring. I quit playing dota now, just isn't as enjoyable as it used to be. I am stuck with nothing to play but online poker.

 

This is the exact same for me, I enjoy playing Arma 3 but I want something else to do cos i end up just getting burnt out, I get home from work and think to myself "what am i going to do tonight"

 

I'm in the same boat too. No new fun games. Just playing rs to suppliment income a bit atm. I've been playing a lot of irl recently, and as soon as I started playing that, I have a baby on the way. So it's pretty fucking cool.

 

Destiny is an excellent game to get into IMHO. I love it. I just recently started getting back into League and such because I'm completely maxed on Destiny and don't have a huge friend base to play with (they're all nighthawks) lol. But that game will take your attention for hours and days at a time if you let it.

 

I'm playing a bit of Heroes of the Storm lately, awesome game.

 

Overwatch, League of legends

 

I say yes to Overwatch, probably one of the best games.

 

Interested in BDO, but not sure if it's worth it. Also looking forward to SoA but looks like it's going to stay in beta for a while.

 

Black Desert Online is one of my favorite MMO's right now. It has an incredible amount of content. You wouldn't be disappointed if you enjoyed the other games you mentioned.

 

Is this a game that is enjoyable if you play solo vs with a group?

 

I haven't put much time into it, but I've only played it solo and have had a ton of fun the whole time.

 

You ever try this 2d pixelated mmo named Realm of the Mad God?
It was the shit maybe like 4 years ago.
It actually still has a lot of players on it - although not many updates recently because the company that acquired the game has been working more on its other releases.
(Kabam owns it - has a lot of mobile games like Kingdoms of Camelot or whatever)
It's fun to jump on and play with friends - there's also perma death and a real world eco (although driven to shit because of duping) on there.
