Wow private server accounts/gold/services

There should be sections for Wow private server accounts, gold, and services so people don't get confused when people post private server threads in the world of warcraft section

 

Is there even interest in this?

 

How do we know if we don't try?

ATM there isn't really a section for anything gaming related besides RS. I think pinning everything on "no interest" is a cop out. There isn't even a place to talk about or market certain games, how do we know there is "no interest"?

Look at how fucking big non-RS games are on forums like ownedcore, communities that actually cater to those discussions. I think it's a joke lumping everything not RS into an "other games" section and then wondering why there is no interest in the market for these same games we don't even give a section to.

Personally, I don't think there is that large of a market for WoW private servers, but that's because there is a better place (ownedcore) for them. No point in opening a market for something we don't have a dedicated section for.

 

Even wow markets are kind of dead, i dont think private servers would work,

 

There is a fairly popular WoW private server that I used to be a part of called "arena-tournament". When I used to play on it, the community was thriving.

Real WoW is meh and while there may be some hype about Legion coming out, I don't see WoW (retail) ever making an amazing comeback.

I have a few friends who still keep playing on private servers and swear by them. I think setting up a WoW private server section is worth a try.

 

This, Not hard to advertise you're selling wow ps gold/accounts in the title or thread.

 

I sell alot of wow private server accounts and I noticed a few things when I try to sell them on sythe:
1. People get confused and think it's a retail account even though I say it's a private server account
2. It's much harder to sell. Out of maybe the last 5 private server accounts I've listed only 1 has been sold on sythe and the other 4 on a less popular forum that had private server sections

I think it would be much easier to sell accounts here if there was a private server section. And it would stop people from mistaking private server accounts for retail accounts

 

Here's the problem with this logic: by adding new forums to fit an interest that doesn't previously exist on the forum, you'll essentially have a bunch of empty sections with no preexisting content to fill it, and nothing looks more boring and inactive than no threads/posts and generic "post your build!" threads as an attempt to stir conversation. This won't draw attention from new users to fill the niche you're trying to build. It'll drive them away to see their sections empty.

People who have interest in these niches usually have already found their home forum, and those forums are usually officially dedicated boards to the private server which they're playing on. So imo that's strike two. There's no interest currently, AND any interest is already soaked up elsewhere.

I don't support adding sections to something that doesn't already have interest within our community.
