Coinbase account closure

They were incredibly vague in the email they sent me so I have no idea what I did. Any clue?

I made a circle account so I'm not bothered.

 

Did you do any things that might be considered "bad"?
Any purchases from DW or maybe falsified information during signup?

 

Have you ever transferred or received a bitcoin from primedice/prc or any BTC gambling website address?

 

I don't think that would do it.

I get paid every week from doing livechat with bitcoin. I don't gamble with it or anything. I usually sell the bitcoin to coinbase soon as I get it.

 

You violated their Terms, this happens if you don't buy/sell bitcoin but use them as a wallet.

Coinbase DOES NOT want to be used as a wallet, they want to be used for people to buy/sell bitcoin.


This most commonly occurs if you receive a lot of bitcoin, or send a lot, but u never really sell/buy often.


I've seen this exact limitation before, do yourself a favor, remove ur bitcoin from them, and change to blockchain.


Circle also shares the same issues as coinbase- great to buy and sell- BAD to use for a sending/receiving wallet.


This is why I have 8 different bitcoin wallets.


Move to Blockchain, be happy they didn't freeze ur funds because bitcoin is UNTRACEABLE.

 

Did the same thing to me, they just said you can no longer use coinbase please remove your remaining btc. Pretty shitty company imo.

 

How would they know I wasn't buying bitcoin when I've been receiving it? Would I have to buy from them specifically? Seems stupid.

 

You must buy/sell from them, that's how business works lol, they want ur business and if your not going to give it to them- they don't want you around.

All that btc ur sending/receiving they know isn't from them, and they want it to be.

 

it's basically inactivity on your account in the region of buying and selling, you should have a blockchain wallet and keep your local bitcoins / coinbase for trading.

 

Just use blockchain and Coinbase together.
Personally I don't see much difference except for the fact that Coinbase's site (if you're only using it as a wallet), but looks a bit more professional and offers more services
