[Video] Attention

Apparently I was reported by Eut and banned.

Firstly, I was on vacation, I posted as much in the CDT going away thread. So I'm sorry I wasn't able to handle this sooner.

Secondly, let me explain the situation. I had him write a trial essay to make sure his work was quality.

Here is the process from my thread: "I'll ask you some questions and fill you in on all the details. You'll be given a single assignment so we can assess the quality of your work. If your quality isn't up to our standards, your application will be declined. If we feel like you will work out, we'll start giving you paid work!"

I made it very clear that the essay was a trial/application. We didn't discuss money or a payment at all.

When he handed it in to me, I decided that the work was great and I'd like to have him on my team. So to be generous, I said I'll send him some money for that work.

I didn't OWE him anything. And although I decided to be generous and give him something for that trial essay, the amount/time period on the payment is entirely up to me.

 

On April 25th, you told Eut:



You then ignored Euterpe's messages for the next 2 weeks and you told me on skype that you don't owe anyone shit when I have proof from several people that you do in fact owe them money. I did not intend this to be anything but a simple resolution, however if you keep making false claims about how much you owe people then this will unfortunately not be a simple process.

Correct, I did say that.

What Eut wrote me was an application Essay, something that I require workers to complete before moving onto paid work. That was clearly stated in my thread, and on Skype. We did not discuss any money, and I did not offer any beforehand.

Because I found his work to be high quality, I figured I’d pay him for it like it wasn’t an application. See, I wanted to keep him happy and get him on my team. I do not “owe” him anything, rather I generously offered to give him something. Because of the nature of that, the amount and timeframe is entirely at my discretion.

Me “ignoring” him is entirely irrelevant. As there is no debt, keeping in constant communication isn’t necessary. In fact, I was traveling during my break and the whole time I believe he only sent me a single message.

I don’t believe I owe him anything, so I’m disputing my ban.

Jon I do owe a small amount, although we’re friends I don’t believe he’s pursuing action against me on Sythe. I’ll be handling that privately, and I don’t think staff mediation is necessary. FYI I didn’t take a loan or anything, just some rs3 mule got lost when we we’re working together.

 

I'm going to send Eut $30+. Ill calculate his share sometime tonight.

I'll speak to Jon and make sure he's cool with me being unbanned.

I'm not trying to cause any issues. I just honestly think that Video is wrong, and that the entire ban was both unnecessary and unwarranted.


Video, quite honestly I'm pretty upset with how you handled this. Jumping the gun to an immediate ban over a $60 essay wasn't needed. You should have spoken to me. Going out of your way to talk badly about me. It's just pretty uncool.

 

Yes I see you've blocked me on skype, lol. I'm just happy you are going to be repaying the people to whom you owe money, that is all I ever wanted to come out of this
