Are Account Rentals worth it?

I notice people are renting out their accounts on this website, and are charging a pretty reasonable amount every hour for the maxed accounts. I'm interested in hearing your opinions about it, do the pro's outweigh the cons?

I'm pretty sure account renting is a bannable offense in game, so do these guys ever get banned?

 

If people stick to the terms of service then the chances are minimal.

It's profit if you're not using it as it's money you earn without doing anything.

You can't be entirely sure, but it's not a bad idea to monitor them at the arena on a separate account to make sure they're not blatantly breaking any rules, and you should also take a deposit as insurance for your tentacle whip in case they drop it. If you're really worried, then only rent to people who you think you can trust, but in my experience renting accounts basically everyone just follows the rules and stakes normally.

State in your TOS no refunds then if they break any rules you change the password forcing them offline.

 

They normally don't break the tos or drop your whip because they pay a decent amount of deposit for using your account. Ban chances are minimal too :3

 

If they break your TOS and/or are doing something that is putting your account at risk, then you are allowed to boot them off. Keep in mind that you must return any gold on the account to them and are only allowed to keep the deposit (make this clear in your TOS).

 

There isn't too much risk so I'd say go for it.

 

I guess the pros outweigh the cons, but getting kicked off the account while having ton of gp is a pretty devastating blow. Depends who you're renting from really.

 

Didn't understand if you wanted to rent an account or wanted to rent out your own account.

If you are renting out, have some TOS and force log them out of the account if they break any of them, and take a 2-3m deposit before they rent the account.

If you want to rent one, go for it. Just make sure you rent from someone you trust, as they can kick you off the account while you still have money on it. You should always record at all times during the rental, to make sure the user gets banned/refunds you if anything happens during the rental. Also I would suggest keeping your own account near and don't store more than necessary on the rented account at once.

They all pretty much say the same already. Just rewrite it in your own words, and you should be fine.

 

From a trusted user? Hell yes.

 

i know of 3people last week who rented 07 account to stake on, and got kicked off the account after they transferred gp onto it to stake with.
